I'm started the 1st week simple. GSC is growing a bit slow it appears compared to the TD. TD is growing quite a bit by the end of it's 1st week. Roots on the GSC haven't shown just yet. TD roots are showing, but haven't touched the water as of yet.
Results by the end of week 2:
GSC is still growing a bit behind of Tangerine Dream. However, it's growing.
GSC: 1 1/2 inch
TD: 3 inches
The leaves on the GSC are about 1" long. The TD leaves are about 2 1/2" long.
I'm quite impressed with the size of the TD. It's growing tall and brushy. The roots are long, but not as bushy as the GSC.
GSC roots are more visible and appear to be a lot more than TD.
TD roots are much longer but apparently a lot less than GSC.
The smell in the tent is starting to smell like a bunch of plants!!! That's all to it. When I rub my fingers on the stems I can smell the funk from both TD and GSC.
End of week 3 results:
Both plants are growing at a fast rate. TD is moving very rapidly in which I had to tie down numerous of times to maintain control. I also did a bit of super cropping (mostly on TD).
GSC: about 5" tall
TD: about 7" tall (tied down). Its actual height is about 10" tall
GSC: 6" Leaf size
TD: 3" Leaf size
Roots on both are looking amazing. Both are strong and healthy. I'm will continue to Veg these plants until more colas grow. I may switch into flowering in another week or 2.
This has been a crazy week. To start, my green tie-down had cut deep into my main cola of the Tangerine Dream (TD) due to its growth. About 85% of it was cut. I used tape as a bandage and did some other techniques to help it heal. It took quite some time to heal and I was uncomfortable the entire time.
Second, I had to refill the water on the TD twice this week. I'm sure it had something to do with HST and my main cola being snapped/cut. I was too embarrased to take the pictures at the time, but I do have a picture after it healed.
Both plants are growing very fast and is doing great.
TD is about a foot tall after LST
GSC is and always seem to be about 2 to 2 1/2 inches shorter than the TD. I have GSC standing on a 2 1/2" platform to maintain equal height from the light.
The smell of both plant are strong. Without my carbon filter my house would be funky.
TD has a strong sweet and citrus like smell.
GSC has a gassy pungent earthy like smell.
TD roots are massive. Their getting bigger and bigger. My pot started to cut into the bigger roots of TD. Therefore, I had to cut some of the holes to make bigger.
GSC roots aren't as massive as TD, but they are growing quite well and beautiful too.
Due to my main cola on my TD I've decided to give it some time before moving into VEG. VEG will start towards the end of week 5 moving into week 6.
PS: I have to admit that TD is very resilient and came back like a champ. Stay tune for week 5!
