Round 2!!!! I am doing a pair of Runtz Muffin from Barney Farms. I hope for the best and a better grow than my first. I hope to improve in all facets of growing to improve yield, smell and most importantly, quality. Thank you to everyone in advance for support and good luck to everyone!
Hey guys, welcome to the first week of the grow.
So I will not be doing a day to day thing for the plants as of right now because it takes a lot of time and I don't think I have much time to do right now.
I am keeping the light close to the plants so they don't stretch too much. I am not sure if its true but giving it a shot.
I plan on feeding a little nutes to it soon just cause I am using coco with no amendments.
Welcome to week 2 (8/24 - 8/30). This week I began feeding it a very light dosage of nutrients and also tried to get the pH back to around 5.6-5.9 since its in coco.
8/27/21 - fed the plants 3/16tsp of micro, gro and bloom around 6.0pH
1/4tsp of calmag
I saw that the pH of the runoff was around 6.2 so on the next watering, I did
8/31/21 - fed the plants 3/16tsp of micro, gro and bloom around 5.5pH
1/4tsp of calmag
Regardless, everything is going smoothly and I plan on transplanting mid week of week 3.
8/31/21 - fed the plants 3/16tsp of micro, gro and bloom around 5.5pH
1/4tsp of calmag
9/4/21 - transplanted plants to 5 gallon pots with medium from fox farms. 4 parts bush doctor and 1 part ocean forest
also watered with 1/4tsp of calmag at a pH of 5.8
9/10/21 - topped victoria (runtz)
9/11/21 - topped jodel (runtz) and began low stress training on the rest of the plants.
i also watered each with 1/2tsp / gallon of cal-mag w/ a pH of 5.7
these two plants are going crazyyyyyyyyyy. I am writing this on around D33 and they boomed even more. training is going well and i am glad to see how this second grow is going
solid week of growth, still relying on the medium to supple nutrients to the plants. did notice some cal-mag deficiency so i did increase the amount given.
9/15/21 - toppd victoria and fixed up some lst
9/17/21 - topped jodel and fixed lst. watered each plants w 1/2tsp/gallon of calmag w pH of 5.8
9/21/21 - fixed lst. watered each plants w 1/2tsp/gallon of calmag w pH of 5.8
9/24/21 - fixed lst. watered each plants w 1/2tsp/gallon of calmag w pH of 5.8
9/27/21 - fixed lst. watered each plants w 1/2tsp/gallon of calmag w pH of 5.8
this week was the last week where i just relied on the medium in my pots to do the feeding.
i think one of the plants is about to flower by itself? i keep the light on 18/6 but maybe something went wrong.
i was kinda suprised that this photo began flowering in 18/6 cycle so i decided to change all the lights to 13/11 to try to turn everything into flower. plants look great and are growing rapidly. sorry for the lack of updates. life has been extremely busy
9/30/21 - good week so far. did some more defoliation and did a lighter feed and flushed it to clean salts and check pH. Everything seems to be in check.
6.1ml/gal of micro
5.3ml/gal of gro
5.3ml/gal of bloom
3.5ml/gal of calmag
10/3
good week. defoliated and fixed some lst.
fed with
6.1ml/gal micro
5.3ml/gal gro
6.8ml/gal bloom
4ml/gal calmag
so this week i finally switched the week indicator to flowering since the second plant finally began to flower. i am excited to see how this plant flowers compared to the first unexpected flowering. with that being said, it feels good to finally update this diary.
Sorry for lack of updates.
They are chunking and starting to get there. Obv one flowered by itself but its alright. Plants still look great so nothing to complain about :)
Little bit of nutrient burn. Gonna do a flush soon to clear it out, if anyone has recommendations on how to do a proper flush with out cleaning the nutrients completely, lmk
this was the last solid week before i faced a lot of nutrient burn and nitrogen toxicity issues with Jodel (early flower plant)
looking at these older pictures makes me realize a lot.
regardless, things are chuggin along and progress is solid
i started getting quite bad nitrogen toxicity on one of the plants and nutrient burn on the other. i didn't really pay too much attention on giving enough water for it to flush out the other salts so i think there is where my problem stems from
i also fed it the wrong amount which caused nitrogen toxicity. this dumbness from me was due to me not using an actual notebook to keep track of things, i instead used photos and memorization to help with feeding amounts which was extremely dumb of me to do. now i use a notebook.
i flushed for the WHOLE week for both plants due to the PPM being ridiculously too high which was causing problems....obvi. but, in a positive note, with the PPM being at a stupid high amount, the plants did do well and handling the intoxication of nutrients
so after doing a flush week, plants are back to getting fat again :). the leaves on the smaller plant may not show it but the plant is doing well and all variables are in check. the leaves look like theyre in rough condition but they are good
i think i will be harvesting the larger once first since it did start flowering A LOT earlier than the others. also i believe that the light has been too close to it so some new pistols are coming out but the trichomes are pretty much there so yea
