Topped around week 8 or 9. I am amazed by its sheer size even after topping it is still around 3.2metres tall and growing. Most likely would of been easily 4m+

This has been growing now for 20weeks. When the seed was planted days were getting longer but still under 13hrs of daylight. Days are now getting short but still 12.5hrs daylight.. I thought landraces grow on age and not necessarily photo periodic in natural environment?

I thought to know that only the true equatorial sativa landraces flower on age. So it might be that a true thai sativa still depens a bit on hours of light anyways. I believe an ontouched 100% "Atjeh" could be like age depending. Being there on the equator. Or maybe south american brasilian strains aswell but im not really updated on those;)

Should I wet or dry trim flower in hot weather when drying outside? Unfortunately I have no choice but to dry my flower in an outside open sided shed. With average temperature 30c/15c, humidity around 65%. Location has natural wind coming through.

If you got enough, try both and see which works best? Conditions dont sound bad for either if your night temps arent too low

@NatureSolutions, Thanks! Yes it's my first real grow and it's taken me by surprise for sure. 22 weeks is along time already but I guess she won't be ready for another 8-12 weeks at least. I read somewhere it can take up to 20 weeks to flower ๐Ÿ˜ฒ๐Ÿ˜ต

I live in the southwest area of the US and I've grown a couple haze strains from April to December they are long winded plants but you should be rewarded for your patience.... good luck ๐Ÿ‘

@Top_Banana, outdoors I don't normally do like a scheduled defoliation especially for sativa because they normally have larger node spacing and the sun is the ultimate light source it moves around unlike an indoor light sitting on top. The only defoliation I do outside is for airflow to avoid leaves being stacked on top of each other and they'll hold the moisture between them and can cause mold or mildew. Indica do this more because they have short fat leaves and are normally more bushy. I do keep the bottoms really clean and up off the ground because of the damn bugs. Yours looks great I don't see anything I would worry about, but of course I'm not there and have a limited view. I hope this helps you out, always feel free to ask me anything anytime. I do have to warn you though I don't know everything ๐Ÿคช๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿ˜‚ but I will always try to help with what I can Cyrus

@Cyrusdavirus, I doubt this will get near that as I've had spidermites since the 2-3week of Veg ๐Ÿ˜ต.. Do these big Sativas need defoliating? It has grown branches ontop of branches.. I have started removing a few fan leafs but I dont want to trigger an early hermie stressing her out

@Top_Banana, some of those that I let go all the way into Dec were over 5 pounds but a regular sativa heavy plant will go between 1 and 4 pounds depending on what the weather does once they start flowering. A lot of the sativas like a tiny amount of nitrogen during flower, if you notice it turning a little yellow give it just a little, to much nitrogen during flower will cause you to get a lot more leaves in your buds making them fluffy

How are you handling spider mites during raining weeks? I see a lit if them at home too. And all i can do is ti wait for rain to stop before spraying beauvaria fungus.
Top_Banana
Top_Banana
@Med_in_Tropic, Hi, I have been using a round 1/4 inch oil paint brush and knock them off twice a day. Once at first light then again in the evening when the sun goes down (you can see them better this way) and neem oil and liquid soap once or twice a week. They're a nightmare and have been attacking my plant in the ground since the beginning.. I find the rain and wind keeps them at bay but as soon as its sunny and breezy they're back with vengeance.. Knock them off as soon as you see them don't wait.
