And so starts the adventure of my first cannabis grow. I have some pepper growing experience, hope that will transfer over to minimize my screwups. Soaked the seeds overnight in a glass of PH adjusted (6.2) tap water. The seeds were then placed on a wet coffee filter in a plastic sour cream container and then placed on the shelf of an upstairs closet ( 74 deg F). After 1 day, three seeds cracked. After 2 days all 4 seeds had cracked and three seeds had sprouted root. One of the roots was 1 cm long and I decided to get em in the rockwool cubes. Germination Week Day 1 - After about 16 hours, I had 3 seedlings, man these little buggers are fast compared to peppers. Day 2 - Still waiting for the fourth seedling to sprout, I can see a hint of green down in the rockwool so I know it's all good. Day 3 - The fourth seedling sprouted, yay 4/4 Thanks Parkland. The seedlings are looking a little "leggy", I'm using 2 x Sunblaster T5 fluorescents on a humidity dome. I checked for roots and found the 2 had roots coming out the bottom of the rockwool and seemed to be in proportion to the stem growth. Day 4 - Not much change today except the root growth on one of the seedlings is phenomenal with a tap root already into the water,(1" below the rockwool). I have been misting water onto the bottom of the tray for humidity. Day 5 - Chuggin right along, dayum look at those roots. Must be different phenotypes? Anyone? Day 7 - Moved the seedlings over to the RDWC System. Added 135 ml of HygroZyme to system.
