I try to get this updated every sunday, but I've been sick over the weekend and am only now finding the time and energy to do so (the photos however still are taken on the 7-day mark)
So, I think I mentioned in the previous week's comment that I was concerned that I was under exposing my light. I definitely was. I should have figured growing in this tent was going to need some getting used to (remember I went from a 2x4x60 to a 4x8x80). Almost overnight I saw the extra light intensity make the girls take off into what you see now. Its so remarkable, that if you look at my 21-day-old mystery seeds they basically look the same as the 28-day-old sisters of theirs. On one hand, better sooner than later, but a bit disappointed I probably squandered about a week to a week and a half of significant growth. This doesn't matter much for the photoperiods cause I can just keep them in veg until I need to, but for my 3 (known) autos, I'm sure its gonna hurt me on my yields. C'est la vie. We'll know next time.
Despite all this, I was a mad man and topped the Green Poison XL (and the CBD) cause I wanted to experiment topping an auto and its still clearly the most mature & healthy plant of the bunch. They're all doing healthy actually. I did find some discoloration on a lower leaf of my CBD. You might be able to tell that in the photos. Which I am not sure if thats caused from heat stress or nutrient deficiency. My central A/C makes the grow room tent +/-3*F depending on where I have it (sleeping vs during the day), and I had some atypical usage of it this weekend because I going from sweating to freezing at the drop of a hat. But they're all still super healthy, leaves dark green as can be.
I'm gonna be honest too, I haven't changed out the reservoir in at least two weeks. They weren't drinking as much as I wanted week 2->3 and I felt it a waste to dump out perfectly fine water. The roots are now significantly developed and they're doing maybe a half or a third of a gallon a day now. I'll get to it this week, but I'm not gonna lie, their performance is provoking me to slack off. I imagine its because I use the GH trio evenly early on in the mixture (to balance ph). The plants only drink certain nutrients anyway and I imagine the nute mix has mitigated a nutrient imbalance that they might've found by now if I had just use a typical micro+gro mix
Also, you'll notice in the photos that the most recent weeks are over exposed. You can see the difference in the intensity of the lights between my changes just through the exposure. Good thing I got that taken care of, but I'll be sure to take adjust the lights next time I take pics : )
