Update 5-10-2021;
I've been playing with fan placement and speeds over the past few days and have settled on a config that's working well.
Intake blowing half speed across the top of the pots, clip on fan blowing across the light (light has downward facing fans) so the hot air isn't blowing onto the canopy, and finally the carbon filter and exhaust running low speed on the top right hand side. I chose low speed exhaust to keep humidity up as well as some water dishes on the floor.
Update 3-10-2021;
We had a really hot day here today which forced temps in the tent to reach upwards of 28Β°C. Due to noise I cannot run the intake at full speed so until I get a silencer or go for a chiller. I am running the light at 75% across all channels and have reduced hours to 18/6. The lights are off at 11am and back on at 5pm, the overnight temps are perfect so hopefully I'll miss the harsh day heat now. Humidity is also a problem at the moment sitting around 45-50% so I have multiple water dishes in the tent. Buying a humidifier is not ideal as once summer is in full swing the humidity will climb.
As we enter the 4th week from seed, 2nd week proper veg the Lemon OG has started to grow rapidly with a near 50% growth in its daytime hours yesterday. The LSD although only 3 - 3.5 weeks from seed has caught up to where the Lemon was near the end of its 3rd week from seed, given this fast growth I have been titrating the nutes to be on par with the lemon.
I have had some high RH% peaks this week due to rain all week, however this has been quickly rectified with fan adjustments. I think I will invest in ac or something similar and an automatic fan controller/thermostat for the next grow, this should reduce labour hours and take the stress out of climate changes.
Lemon OG Haze;
As I touched on above, this one has started to finally grow despite some visual deformities the new leaves are looking much healthier. I am holding onto hope that maybe she was just a bit of a late bloomer. Nutes this week for the Lemon have been 1/2 veg and titrating up to full veg by weeks end and continuing through until pre flowers show. Once pre flowers show I will slowly introduce bloom additives and cut down slightly on the 2 part for the rest of the grow.
The supplied nute schedule says to cut the Marine (calmag) at start of flower however I am going to experiment a bit and continue for a couple of weeks at a low dose (most likely 1/2 then down to 1/4).
LSD-25;
I feel so much better about this girl than I did in my last run of the same strain, super fast growth so far and I have been aggressively titrating her feeds to match with the lemon. Given her resilience to overdoses, PH swings, climate changes and many mistakes in the last grow I am confident she will continue to react well this run with a strong feed early on.
There is not much else to report on for this one, it seems to be business as usual so far, I will update regular pictures to monitor her growth.
Hey! Happy growing my friend! I hope you do well and get some good results! I will come by sometime to see your progress!
