Germinated 2 more LSSH and 1 more PK. Again, seedlings stretched from overheating I presume. The LSSH seeds seem to be more viable and show more vigorous growth.

Transplanted LSSH#1 from 1gal to 5gal pot. Possibly overwatered seedlings; growing apparently slightly slower.

Showing signs of Mg deficiency. Upped dosage to full recommended amounts. Younger plants seem to be growing very slowly. Decided to water less. Transplanted PK#1 into 5gal pot.

Started 36hr dark period for LSSH#1. At lights on and after feeding, noticed severe discoloration on 1 of the top leaves and some of the secondary leaves. Unsure if it was caused by dark period (no light), the plant getting shocked into flowering, nutrient or micronutrient deficiencies, problems stemming from the Mg deficiency earlier on or pH lock but keeping calm and not panicking just yet :) The newer growth above it seems fine and growth overall seems good so hoping it's not a serious ongoing problem. Other plants kept on same schedule under T5's. Later that day... Noticed the leaves were actually improving! In the beginning I thought it was spreading but it's definitely getting better now.

Decided to flush the smaller plants which seemed to improve things a little bit. Flushed and moved the PK1 into flower room. The LSSH1 is a fucking beast now. I didn't want to train it and its super tall now but still manageable. Has a slight lean though.

OK where do I begin? The tl;dr version is basically "this was disaster week". LSSH1 - Grew too tall. Decided to do some LST which ended up being too aggressive and caused the stem to bend all the way about 6 nodes from the top 😭 The plant must have been like that for at least a few hours. Patched it up with some duct tape and toothpicks and within 24hrs the leaves are up again and I think this will only set me back about a week if everything really is ok 😞 Also bent 1 of the side branches either from the main stem bending or during my panic trying to fix things 😩 PK1 - I built a small tower for it to stand on to try and match the LSSH1's height which in my frantic panic to patch up the accidental supercropping caused it to fall over and the plant was smushed against the tent. It's leaning a bit but it shouldn't be an issue. 😕 LSSH2 - Transplanted into 5 gallon pot which went pretty bad. Basically almost completely fell apart. A few days later though she seems ok. I'll start topping and training when she's ready. LSSH3 - Topped. Moral of the story: ALWAYS train your sativa's! PS: Roots Excelurator is THE SHIT! Have some roots growing out the base of the stem on some plants and they grew thick and furry within a couple of days. One root poking out the smart pot also showed impressive growth.

So my question is basically if my main stem was accidentally supercropped in week 3 of flower do I just repeat this week's nutrient schedule and act like I'm just extending everything by a week (assuming the plant only needs a week to recover)?

I've used supercroping on sativas during the whole flower phase and it did not slow down the plants at all, nor affected yield (check my 2nd run ir you are curious). Don't repeat a schedule, feed the plant as needed, when you see deficiencies.

So I guess there wasn't much to worry about after all :) Within 2 days of the accidental supercropping she was growing again. Took the duct tape off about 3 days after that to see a decent knuckle formed. The side branch is holding up nicely on its own as well. Just amazing 😍 PK1 seems to be flowering very slowly though. I suspect it's due to the low light and/or high EC in the medium. Brought it even closer to the light in hopes the pace picks up soon. Topped LSSH2. LSSH3 growing nice side branches especially after switching to half nutes and rinsing pretty thoroughly. PK2 also rinsed as it just seemed like it wasn't growing at all. Pace has picked up a bit and there's even a nice root finally poking through.

Decided to prune LSSH1 of lower branches to hopefully get bigger buds on the main colas (and who am I kidding also to sample a bit 😏; got a nice buzz off half a joint 😊). Had to go away for a few days so the plants got a little drier than usual but no major issues due to it (some sugar leaves are curling a bit so I gave them extra water to try and reset the medium though). The main cola is getting less light at the top so it grew a bit and it will probably end up with less bud than the nodes just below. Supercropped the top branches on LSSH2 to prevent it getting higher. PK1 showing a tiny bit of bud now after getting a PK boost. PK2 showed some roots after the dry spell but it's still growing pretty slowly.

Newer bud leaves seem healthier now after more regular watering. Did some supercropping on LSSH2+3. Topped PK2 which seems to be growing better after switching to Canna nutes. Took a few clones off LSSH3.

So I'm doing a little experiment with the clones: took the 2 lowest viable branch pairs and put 1 of each pair into a Jiffy pellet and a rockwool cube. All preloaded with Roots Excelurator and SuperVit at 5.5pH and added some mycorrhizae to boot. Only had 2 days to prespray the branches with Clonex Mist and have been spraying the clones every other day with it. It's been a week with no roots showing yet but the clones have looked healthy throughout and never showed signs of wilting (which I remember happening for a short period the last time I cloned). I expect roots to show in the next day or 2 but who knows. And now for our main story: LSSH1 is showing white bud tips! This is most likely due to the ridiculously close proximity to the light. Not sure what to make of it yet but I guess we'll see if it has any effect on quality 😏 The buds have expanded a very tiny amount and I expect much more this coming week but from my understanding this strain does not produce really dense nugs to begin with. From the results so far I would say the plants have liked the switch to Canna nutes although I would recommend going with the light feeding schedule at least to start with. PK1 still with very tiny buds but it's getting more light now. PK2 seems to be growing faster now on Canna nutes. BTW: on the rare occasion I get my hands on some trichs, my fingers have an unmistakable lemon candy smell 😍

As I'm increasing my P/K boost levels each watering, I'm ending up with lower and lower pH. I've heard it's not recommended to add silica during flowering, such as that found in GHE pH Up. Is that true or not really a big deal? If true, are there any good simple alternatives?

So the winners of the clone competition ended up being the upper branch pair with rockwool showing roots about half a day before the jiffy. Buds are still quite fluffy. Hopefully will harden up by end of next week.

Decided to use Ripen to help ensure harvest at the end of the week. Noticed slight swelling and some significant "densification" of some of the buds with more light while the others remained relatively fluffy. Flushed with FloraKleen 3 days before harvest. This is my first time using Ripen and I'm a bit skeptical about the flavour it might leave behind considering a very short flushing period as well. I'll probably know for sure after a week of curing maybe. Leaves have only yellowed a very slight amount during the week..

Dried for about 3 days then started curing. Some paranoia from some of the earlier trips but the appearance, smell and texture definitely improved and I think I've got some quality bud although not very much of it. Can't wait to cure it a bit and see how it develops. Definitely a slightly sweet lemony flavour off of it.
