Flower is upon us. Unluckily, stupid GrowDiaries didn't allow me to add weeks other than "harvest" and "germination" to the previous diary, so here we are in a new one. The plants are doing great, Carl 2 is approximately a week further along than UKBS 2 by the looks of things. Both plants are around 7-8 feet tall and in 15 gallon pots. If you're new to this grow, these plants were started back on Jan 25. of 2021 - They've come a long way since then. Thanks for stopping by, and updates will come throughout the week. -9/15- The overnight temperatures are plummeting massively, often hitting single digits. The ladies stand strong through it, and are happy as can be in the morning. I'm interested what the level of temperature they'd start having real issues at is. I'll attribute their current resistance to the amino acid intake resulting in more production of pectin (which then results in increased width and strength of cell walls, allowing cell walls to withstand puncturing in the case of the intra-cellular water content freezing) -9/17- UKBS 2 is NOT liking the cold. Carl 2 is acclimatizing much more nicely. -9/19- Opted to take the remaining clones of UKBS 2 outside, we'll see how they do. I'm hoping they can bear the temperature and flower out, as I don't know where I'll put them otherwise.

Hey hey hey, I like what I see. The girls have been flowering out fairly well, UKBS 2 still lagging behind Carl 2 somewhat. Carl 2's bud development is going far quickly, while UKBS 2 is more slow and steady. Both plants have begun developing trace amounts of trichomes around developing bud sites; perfect. -9/26- Gave all the girls a nice little defo for some breathing room. You can barely tell the difference looking below/above the canopy. Crazy how big these girls are, can't have em getting moldy now can I? Also bombed with BT and a little pyrethrin upon seeing some caterpillars and aphids. Dusted the soil with diatomaceous earth as well to deter ants from helpin out the aphids.

Carl 2 and UKBS 2 are both trucking along nicely, Carl 2 beginning to actually fatten up which is quite surprising considering how early it is in flower. UKBS 2 is still lagging behind slightly, approximately a week. Another surprise came when Carl 2, whose counterpart nearly doubled in height when flipped to flower inside the tent; barely stretched at all going into flower outdoors. On the contrary, UKBS 2 stretched like a maniac, gaining about another foot or so in height. Due to this, it's about an inch away from touching the roof of the 8 1/2' greenhouse. UKBS 2's clones also produced this behavior when recently flipped inside the tent. UKBS 2's other clones, which are outdoor plants now; have not kicked into flower yet. This is somewhat worrying as the weather in my area is very unpredictable beyond October. It could be green until early December, or it could snow on Halloween- it's a coin flip at best. Wish me luck! As usual, updates come throughout the week. Happy growing.

Wonderful week inside the greenhouse. I've added a fan to circulate some more air around inside as the temperature is dropping and humidity rising rapidly, providing ideal conditions for mold to grow with no airflow. UKBS 2 Clones will probably be in flower at the end of this week, meaning I'm likely gonna have to finish them inside somehow or chop early if the weather goes to shit. -10/9- UKBS Clones are not and will not flower outside, after a night of extremely cold temperatures they've nearly wilted and I've opted to move them inside. As for the larger ones, they are also beginning to be unhappy with the temperatures. Leaves are twisting and the bud growth almost seems to be accelerating as if they know the temps are going to utter shit. -10/10- Great call to take the clones in, snowed today. Big girls were pretty OK overall but the clones would have been absolutely destroyed. Seems I've made all the right calls so far for the outdoor side of things, from the greenhouse to taking those clones in. - Nothing I can do but ride out the weather at this point, and take the girls down if they get too damaged by the cold.

Last week was pretty good. Saw a little frost wilt, but nothing too bad. Today, however, the girls are not happy. Last night the temps hit around -6, the girls didn't like that very much and many leaves wilted. We have another couple days of well-below-freezing overnight temps to go before the temperature normalizes somewhat, so I've added a heater to hopefully prevent frost inside the greenhouse. I also tied some branches back to prevent them from touching the plastic, which will likely have a lot of moisture on it due to condensation. -10/14- Removed most of the frost damaged leaves from both plants. Heater seems to be working to at least prevent frost development overnight by raising the temperature slightly. -10/15- We're through the coldest temps forecasted for a little while, here's hoping the weather stays decent long enough for them to finish up properly. Carl 2's big buds caused some sag like her indoor counterpart did, so I tied em up to the roof.

Pretty solid week outside. Temps have drastically improved, but unfortunately I am still far from harvest. Not many orange pistils at all, I will look at the trichomes this week and am expecting mostly clear with a handful of cloudy. Buds haven't fattened up much yet but they're in the process, especially with UKBS 2.

Good week of growth. Girls still are not finished, especially not UKBS 2, which needs about 2 weeks still to finish properly I think. Carl 2 further along but not at the finish line either. Trichomes are clear and cloudy currently. Pistils mostly white with some orange on UKBS, about 50/50 on Carl. Very cold weather coming up soon here so I don't know how that's gonna work. -10/28- Forecast for the coming days still grim. Trichomes are mostly cloudy, very very few amber outliers and some clears. Pistils mostly orange on UKBS though the bud structure is still very premature. Carl is of course further along as usual.

UKBS 2 Was a real tough bitch, surviving stem rot and harsh winds, rainstorms and snow. Rarely had any problems. Insane purpling in flower. Extremely bushy plant, great outdoor pheno.

Wonderful, stinky hash of this bad girl. Looks, smells and tastes like chocolate mousse. So pure that my preferred method of consumption is dabbing the stuff, it's absolutely great. Not bad on a bowl either but the rig is definitely the way to go. All future outdoor plants will be washed for hash, I believe.

This shit GROWS. High wind? fine. Cold temps? fine. Bugs? fine. Extreme heat? also fine. This girl was probably the most resilient plant I've ever grown once adjusted to the outdoors.

Glad I have more of these seeds, I'm almost hoping I can find a male in the mix and get some cross seeds. The apple terps are *fucking* incredible and unmatched by any extract I've smoked so far.
