- This is going to be a relaxed grow, so went for a nice auto. Not too worried about yield and fine tuning it.
- Germinated directly in soil time, which went fine. Except I feel there is more room for error and a lot more time spent doing the "wait and see". Back to paper-towel next time around.
- I learnt from my previous mistakes and got her under the lamp the second she sprouted.
- Transplanted to her big pot mid-week, she's a fast grower!
- For soil I went with Westlands Multi-Purpose w/ John Innes, because I had some laying around from previous grows but it will be the last time I use it. I think it may be a little hot for autos.
- Weird leaves, albeit early ones so I am not too worried. Will keep an eye on it, but couldn't find a definite answer. She was a free seed so she may just be a little mutated!
- Despite originally wanting to leave her to her own devices, LST started this week! A little late but again, not worried about yield. I couldn't help myself though.
- New growth seems to be fine despite weird growth at the start.
- It's taken 4 grows to get something as basic as watering right but I am finally on point.
- Growth rate increase means she's entering pre-flower stage. Boy am I glad I started LST!
- Still no nutrients as she has shown signs of slightly Nitrogen toxicity (claws) and slight burning on new growth (which as slowed right down). She otherwise looks happy and healthy so no need to act yet.
- Lower branches now receiving some LST as they have caught up with the main stem.
- Into flowering now so seeing an increase in growth.
- LST stopped as main structure is complete (and I have damaged a small auto before by going too far). Canopy is fairly flat, more bowl shaped but better than nothing!
- Gave her a small amount of generic nutrients (1-3-3), first time feeding her at all as soil seemed hot.
- Enjoying this relaxed grow style, as long as she is healthy I am not too worried. I will be changing things up for the next grow and get more serious.
- Not a great deal to say about this week that isn't reflected in the pictures.
- Feeding is still very minimal, only got one in during the week. But plant is showing yellowing leaves and clawing, so too much Nitrogen. Will flush next watering in a few days and keep things calm for a while.
- Big flush shortly after last weeks diary to help with the Nitrogen toxicity. New growth is coming out nice and straight, so it's now under control. It's such a shame that I didn't catch this quickly enough and there is clawing all over the plant. But lessons learnt in regards to autos sensitivity, I haven't had issues with Westlands MP before now but it is definitely too hot for this strain.
- Looks like she'll be finishing earlier than other strains I have grown, possible harvest around the 8 week mark. Yield looks fairly good considering the setup and nutrient issues.
- Trichs are 95% cloudy, 2% clear and 3% amber.
- She's drinking a lot! Still no nutes because of previous toxicity, she seems to be happy.
- This is a great stealth strain, least smell I've grown!
Extremely easy to grow. This was a stop-gap grow to tide me over while I waited for new seeds and the plan was to do bare minimum plus some light LST. Results were the best yield I've managed out of my small, basic setup.
She is definitely quite sensitive to nutrients as the soil was a little hot (having been successfully used in the past) and caused some Nitrogen toxicity as she entered flowering, but that was corrected with a flush and no additional nutrients for the rest of the grow.
Note worthy is the bud structure. They are quite dense in the middle and fox-tail on the outside. Having looked at other grows this is genetic and not due to light stress. The lack of density on the outside leads them to feel slightly too dry, but there is moisture on the inside and they seem to be curing regardless.
