This one is my first real grow and money was tight at first so i didnt really do anything but water for the first few weeks. I got Happy frog soil and just threw her right in a 5gallon fabric pot.
Something knicked her at night. Not sure what it was. Put 1 tsp per gallon guano and then a cup of all purpose fert. Was too nervous to spend on 4 different bottles of nutes just started with these.
Started having some issues with white spots on some leaves and being a rookie couldnt tell if it was mites or if it was the east coast humidity which was pushing like 75% 80% daily. She started getting bushy around this week
She got really stout and bushy like a Christmas tree, you can tell by the stem structure that the colas are gonna be thick and dense, but boy did she have a Crazy couple of weeks. First it was little spots of powder mildew. Then She kept getting spider mites and i couldnt seem to keep them away. i have a lot of other plants and veggies growing my garden so i moved her. Little did i know that her being near my sunflowers meant that some type of sunflower worm would get to it and one burrowed inside the stem of the main cola so i had to trim that way down to keep it from rotting. The mold and the mites were friggin persistent so i moved her to a different location and shes doing so much better. im almost positive i stunted her by trimming the main cola. Im not mad though cause it looks like she has 4 different colas growing in its place so im ok with that. Most descriptions say she finishes flowering around 10-11 weeks and I'm there now with a lot of maturing left to do. Shes looking healthy so well see how she matures!
So since i moved her to a better location shes doing way better. Lush green all over but is insanely bushy. I defoliated some because the inner branches were having trouble getting light. I also realized it wasnt really stretching in either direction so i moved it to a 7 gallon pot to see if that would help and it did. The cola branches are starting to thicken and when you rub the buds it smells like intense lemon citrus gas and cheese.
Slow and steady wins the race I've been told.
Shes taking her time but the branches are starting to fill in
with small super frosty lemony buds
and im hoping they'll just turn into big dense colas.
I'm very unexperienced when it comes to auto's
but with this one taking way long than my other
cannabis plant which is a regular fem (planted almost 3 weeks later and that one is gonna finish first)
I may not try another one
and just stick to regular fem seeds.
Other than that bit she's healthy and thriving!
Welp my optimism did me no good. i brought her inside once the nights started to get cold and she revegged so i chopped her. She had issues through most of the grow so im glad its over. I have a few more of the auto seeds but idk if ill plant them again.
You live and you learn!!!
