I'm finally back with a new setup and motivation. I'm a few weeks behind starting this diary so I do apologize. I'm 2 weeks into transplanting into this 3 gallon pot. The medium is Royal Gold Organic amended with Earth Dust: Base from the Green Sunshine Company. She was transplanted with Azos, Mykos and healthy portion of Earthworm Castings. She was topped and fed a few days ago. I'm currently working on dialing in the new setup. The goal is to keep my temps in the mid 70's and RH in the mid 50's. This will be my first run of Elv8 seeds and I'm eager to see how she does. I hope you all join me on this journey and enjoy it as much as I will 😁. PS: Don't panic it's organic 💪
Vegetation stage. What more can you say right? Lol. This week' wasn't much different from last week. I went ahead and topped her one more time when I fed her. Im thinking one or maybe 2 more toppings once she is transplanted up to 7 gallons. Im thinking possibly a tomato cage to help bush her out rather than traditional lst. My temps and RH are staying fairly manageable which is always good. I did clip a few leaves for pest inspection. Overall she looks and seems healthy 😁
Apparently I'm terrible at updating my diary. Between my family, career and growing I forget shit 🤷♂️. I promise to try and get better. Since my last update I have transplanted up to a 7 gallon pot. I have topped again and super cropped. She will be transplanted again up to 10 gallon and be trained to fill out the entire tent. I just recently purchased a new grow light from KIND Led to try and maximize my coverage. The spider farmer 2000 just isn't cutting it in this 40x40 tent for flowering. Hopefully I'll have the new light in hand and setup before flipping to flower. Thanks for the support 🙏
So a new week and a new update. I went ahead and transplanted her to her 10 gallon pot. Her soil was depleted and signs of calcium deficiency have set it in. I chose to blend and transplant rather than top dress again. It had to be done anyways right? So the new light still hasn't arrived and was returned to shipper 😕. Hopefully i will receive it before flipping to flower in 7 days 😬. The day temps have risen slightly but nothing to be concerned about. She gets 3 gallons of drench feed every 3 to 4 days that accommodates her soil amendments. She is looking quite thick so I may do a slight defoliation again in the next day or two. Thanks again for those that like and comment on my post. You are much appreciated 🙏
This is the time I've been waiting for 😁. She has finally been flipped. Transplanted, amended and defoliation. Still waiting on that new light 🙄. It's like pulling teeth trying to get ahold of Kind LED. Amended ratio is 50/50 to help carry through the first 4 weeks where nitrogen is still a key nutrient in development. Select pruning was done to open up the plant a little more for light penetration. I updated at the ending week so YES she was just flipped but veg was her week end. Thanks and I hope you enjoy 😉
We are officially kicking off the flowering stage of this girls life. As you can see from the pictures she has been clipped and stripped. I've lowered the light slightly to gain more penetration until the new light arrives. She is stretching quite a bit. I've seen 9 inches so far since I've changed the light schedule. She is looking extremely healthy at the moment. The slight deficiency we had quickly resolved itself once topdressed. Thanks for the likes and comments
This week has went exceptionally well. We are now seeing bud formation and the new light finally arrived. The KIND LED X330 is now hung and powering the tent to success. I have started adding Budswell Bat Quano to the feeding schedule now that stretch is over and it's time to swell. I'll be adding an enzymatic solution called Hygrozime to help break down any dead root matter and boost moral in the work place. We are nearing another top dressing in the next few days. This is one thirsty gal getting liquid fed every 2 days 😳. So far so good in the garden. Interested to see how she stacks on in the coming weeks.
A new weekly update is finally here. I mentioned in the last update we would be top dressing the soil again and we did just that. We used a 50/50 blend of Eath Dust Bloom and Terp Tea Bloom from Roots Organic. We also added the last bit of earthworm castings she will receive this grow. The new Kind Led X330 has been lowered to 8 inches. It has a recommended operating height of 6 to 12 inches. I have done some select defoliation over the past week to optimize light penetration. I should state that this selection is also focused on leaves covering bud sites. All liquid mixed nutrients have not changed and are still being given every 2 days to keep the soil moist. I do have a PK booster from Roots Organic that will also be used in a few weeks. This is also a dry ammendment that will be worked into the soil. I hope your enjoying my journey back through organically growing. Thanks
Another week in the books on this Gorilla Cookies. I'm sure this Strain has been grown time and time again but I wanted to give Elev8 Genetics a shot. I haven't been disappointed so far. Nothing really new this week other than routine maintenance and feedings. I did cut out the Cultured Biologix EZ Tea Bloom and stated using the Terp Tea Bloom from Roots Organic. The Terp Tea has a better PK ratio for where I am in flower and could use the bump. I also have the booster which will be amended in the coming week or two. Stay high growies and stay positive 😎
Another beautiful week in the books. Roots Organic Terp Tea PK booster was used as a topdressing this week. She is becoming a bit top heavy from the buds becoming more dense. Trichome coverage seems to be a bit moderate. Overall I'm satisfied with this particular strain.
Another week down and another week closer. These buds are getting more and more dense day by day. I've had to tie some up because of leaning 😬. The buds are looking beautiful and the trichomes are glistening. I think I put my foot in my mouth last week when I said I wasn't important with trichome coverage. This beauty has exceeded any and all expectations I had coming into this grow. I hope everyone is enjoying this as much as I am 😁
Well the end is in sight. This will be the final week of feeding before straight water until the final day. The buds look even better in person than they do in picture 👀. The buds are compact and very dense. They have an above average frost. The days have been warmer so it's been easier to maintain a consistent RH. This plant has let me know that I need a new carbon filter 👃 for sure. Thanks for stopping in and checking the last out.
Another week in the book, another week closer. I've cut out all nutrients and sticking to water that isnt ph'd. I want the plant to use any stored energy/nutrients before the harvest. Im more of a cloudy harvester but I'm thinking of going more amber this run to switch it up. The buds are rock hard and very dense which is always a good thing. I've enjoyed trying Elev8 Seeds and I hope you've enjoyed my journey with them. Until next week. Peace and love
Overall I'm extremely impressed with this strain. Terpene profile definitely leans traditional GG#4. Extremely pungent and lingering aroma. I personally wouldn't consume this if I had any plans for the day. Definitely helps with my sleep issues. The bud to leaf ratio was above average and fairly easy to trim. The bud themselves are extremely resinous and dense. So if you've followed this grow you'll know I made to change back to organic growing and made a light change mid grow. I'm glad I went back to organics because it's always been the favorable growing style of mine. I switched to a light bar style LED from Kind LED lights and noticed a big difference over the Spider Farmer. Now let me state that the Kind pulls more watts and should technically on paper out perform the smaller SF2000 from Spider Farmer. This is not at all a slam against Spider Farmer because I love my Spider lights. I really didn't do anything special this grow other than my normal routine. I topped multiple times and the rest was a mixture of LST and HST techniques. I finished in a 10 Gallon pot to try and fill my canopy to provided grow area. The organics I pretty much kept as simple as possible. Amended soil before transplant and topdressed every 4 weeks. What I would consider the most important aspect of organic growing is to not let the soil dry out and keep the microbial life in your soil prosperous and happy. Well im not very good at this at all but I do hope everyone enjoyed this grow and appreciate all the support and comments ❤️. Thank you. Oh I pulled 12.47 ounces off of this plant dried 😁
