GreenSamurai I'm actually using 50W from a flood LED lamp and 4 23W CFL bulbs (the website doesn't allow me to select a hybrid lighting system).
I started with just the 50W LED. Turned it on on the 3rd day. I added the CFLs on the 7th day.
I had to lower down the LED lamp because the seedling was stretching. Now the stem looks a bit twisted
GreenSamurai Night of day 31, the LED flood lamp fell and crushed the plant. I taped some broken branches and tied the ones that were bent. After one day she was recovering pretty good.
Congrats on your first grow! Are you growing under LED or CFL? The bulbs in your pictures look like CFLs, in which case you may want to consider moving them closer. I can't completely tell by the picture but it looks like she may be stretching a bit, which is caused by the light source being too far away and the plant is searching for light. I made these exact mistakes on my first grow 😆
Keep at it dude!!!
@GreenSamurai, Oh cool well I definitely wouldn't move the CFLs any closer then. She is filling out so nicely. Ill definitely keep checking in. Im actually 21 days into my second grow, maybe Ill do a diary lol! I will say your first grow is already 1000x better than mine...cant wait to see some flowers!
@Circas313, Hi! I'm actually using a 50W LED lamp and complementing with two CFLs. LED is about 16in from the plant. CFLs are ~3in.
And yeah indeed, the first days I only had the LED very far from the plant and the seedling stretched. I added the CFLs aftet that and the stem is now thicker and seems to be growing well.
I can try putting them a bit closer I guess. I don't want to burn her though.
Thanks for the comment!
