It depends on what you want the plant to do. There’s no right answer. I’ve done lst and topping. I’ve had great yields with both. Experiment and have fun.

I always top all my autos once, as soon as possible. First topping when they have 3 nodes (10cm, about 20 days after seeding), further topping if they are growing too fast, but rarely. For size control, super cropping works fine until the first week of flowering. But LST is better.

Low stress training is the best for auto's. Topping can take to much time to recover and will most likely reduce yield's. Happy Growing
