Are growing these for the first time, they turned out to be more compact than expected and didn't grow any side branches at all.
They're in re-used BioBizz All-Mix.
Lowered Canna Flores to 4 ml/l.
Doubled the dose of CannaZym.
Maintained BioBoost at 4 ml/l.
Two different phenotypes can be distinguished. They differ in both bud structure and smell.
Pheno 1 looks more airy in structure and has a, what I would call, generic sweet smell, whereas pheno 2 has a more sour smell.
Increased dark period to 13 hours to speed up ripening process.
9-11, day 53: watered with 5 ml/l cannazym and 2ml/l BioBoost.
Potguide.com mentions the "cherry pheno" as the "most prized one," of the AK47.
I didn't notice a big difference in the smell of the mother plants. Pheno 1 started flowering a few earlier than pheno 2, though.
Which one of the two do you think is 'the' keeper?
Plant will not show in looks only smell. 2nd one looks like it started fading and no colors. My money is on the 1st one. More trichromes usually better smoke from my experience. 🍻
Cherry Feno means probably that the plant will have a major reddish look with fruity notes, at first look the second one look like the one, smell it and see what to can sense, for sure the real aroma will come after the curing process.
Last week... They're ripening up nicely on a 11 hour light schedule.
Flushing passively with 500 ml per pot, 5 ml/l Cannazym 2 ml/l BioBoost.
Update 15-11: increased dark period to 14 hours.
Update 16-11: total darkness for the last 48 hours.
One out of 5 plants unfortunately got a mold infection.
Perhaps the earlier flowering pheno's are more sensitive. The other 8 plants were fine.
They were grown together with 4 Serious Kush plants that I didn't document here.
They turned out to become single-bud plants. This wasn't my intention. Yield would probably have been better if they had received more light during the first weeks.
All in all very satisfied with AK47. Will grow it again.
