I started the seedlings off in these red solo cups and I took the soil from two 15gal pots from my last grow. Three solo cups per 15gal pot and three of them grew very slowly if at all. My soil balance was not the same and some of it is 2 years old. The fourth seedling eventually comes up but the other two never did anything.
Getting the 4x4 Sub-Irrigation Planter installed and the soil mixed up. Two of the 15 gal pots have three grows and two have four grows in them. Its dry and rock hard in some places, with a good amount of plant material in all of them.
Plants are growing like crazy this week. They definitely love the soil mix and its smooth sailing for now. One of the plants hit a patch of unmixed nutrients and i think thats causing the dark coloration, but just going to let it ride and see how it goes.
Starting to wonder when I should flip to 12/12. Don't want the plants to get too crazy but I also don't want to flip too soon and miss out on extra growth. Topped three of the plants
Humidity and temps were getting out of control so had to make some adjustments to airflow and venting. Opened up most of the lower vents in the tent and kept my vent fan moving 24/7 from now on but at 40% speed
I've been doing Thrive.N foliar sprays just for sanity sake. The plants are going really good and I just want to make sure they stay that way. I saw some crawlers on one of the Sour Diesels and sprayed SNS207 on the bare lower areas and that seems to have cleared things right up.
Everything is running smooth. Had to move the light up to the absolute top of the tent since the flowers were growing into it. Otherwise theres been no major problems in the entire grow
Water only with EM1. Sour Diesel trichome development lower than the Girl Scout Cookies, have a feeling I need better air circulation with the humidifier in a low corner of the tent.
Sour Diesels have distinct citrus smell, Girl Scout Cookies have a sweet, skunky smell. GSC2 genetic foxtailed, buds are very dense and firm but also very sticky. SD1 went through late growth stretch; will need at least an extra week to fatten up. GSC1 showed burning at the tips, not sure what from. Possibly a pocket of unmixed nutrients in the soil?
The dehumidifier has been adding enough water that I dont need to add extra throughout the week. Usually around 1gal per day. No issues or complaints, just letting it ride. Next grow I do need to add the trellis in sooner and much lower.
