also, I battled some root rot in my first dwc. are you using anything besides the h2o2 like hydroguard? I use hydroguard right now but have battled some res temp issues as of late with the recent heat wave. I've been treating my roots each week when I change out my res and rinse them in a bucket of h2o2 water then rinse again in a clean water bucket before going back into my rdwc. seems to be working out ok so far...

I was a little skeptical about that as I have read it across a couple of forums, but I think I will give it a shot. Thanks for the suggestion beef!

what made you select the Aurora Indica? just curious bc I selected that as my first strain also but decided to start with one of the mixed bag seeds that I got "for practice"... now I'm on to 5 autos and have a group grow planned for August where we're all going to be growing the same strains! I'll be watching and anxiously awaiting getting mine going... good luck!

@farmerjim, I have not used h202 at all. Was going to but my mentor advised against it. So in all honesty I haven’t even put any beneficial bacteria in here at all. Ever. Super lucky so far. The brown is just staining I do believe as she is still super happy and thriving. Honestly, I didn’t choose this strain. It was given to me as a clone due to my restrictions on height. I was told this would be perfect for short and stout which is working out pretty good so far. Any comments or tips for this strain particularly? Ironically I also am going the auto route after this harvest. I have 4 blue pyramids and one blue diesel that I’m extremely excited to run. Will be upgrading tent size of course but one step at a time. Any advice on autos? as they will be the first ones I will get my hands on.

ty for the root porn shot! I think all hydro diaries should have one of these. While I understand that roots are healthy when nice and white, it's not uncommon for some slight darkening imho. You can see this on most hydro grows. You might try to lower humidity a bit though. I think I've read the happy spot is 40-50 during flowering..at least get it down to 55. just my 2 cents, good luck with the grow, I will follow.

Put some hydroguard in there and maybe some cold bottles (frozen ice water bottles) to keep water temps down.

One other thing you can do is add some hydrogen peroxide to the water, that will help a bit with the browning roots, I put in about 1-2 tablespoons per gallon a few times in my grow.

@Sns3467, use the website instead of the app when you load weeks, it's a lot easier

Haha. I did that bc I’m still a complete newb and thought if u guys seen something wrong u would say so. I have yet to get a stone and haven’t been in the tent in 2 days!! Starting to panic! I’m going to have to roll my 12/12 cycle forward a couple of hours so I can get in there after work. I will also try to get humidity down a little but I’m working in a 2x2x4 little tent with dwc. Lol. Glad to have u along though!!
