Favferrit I've basically got a one pot system in a supermarket garden box stood up on its side ,£50 generic led light bulb from amazon ,the pot is 12ltr from a previous hydro grow so has 2 holes near the bottom which were inlet holes and two at the top as overflows .. what I've done is make a shallow reservoir in the pot and put a cheap fishtank nair pump through the bottom hole .then placed the pot in a old plastic toy box, watered the plant until the box was 2 inch deep and put a 10 watt tropical fish tank heater in the box submerged in solution, which with the small lamp kept th temperature at a stable 23 c most the time . Any way first time growing autos unfortunately have little money or space ,never thought the light would do this well

Favferrit I can't believe how stocky and fast these plants are ,but having now done a small amount of research I have discovered these aren't quick small plants and three in a 12 ltr pot in a 50cm by 50 cm ,1.5 mtr tall box was a bit silly ,but I've started so I'll try to make this work with lst
And defoliation the hearer in the res is managing to keep the temp stable all plants look healthy

Favferrit OK this was a good week moved everything to a old wardrobe lined with mylar also using an old co2 system now.I have the temp steady at 24 day and 21 night temp. I also cut some of the slower flowering branches to make room , I doesn't seem to have affected growth. Also having trouble sealing the co 2 in the bloody door keeps popping open ,oh I don't really know why I added calmag no bad sign s just thought a little wouldn't hurt as it's only 12ltr pot with 3 plants in it draining the soil.

Favferrit OK so a very good week ,I've relined the inside with what can only be described as bubble wrap in thick foil ,it's 5mm thick but ment to insulate as well as 50 mm celotex insulation, my temp has been very stable at 17.7 c ever-since plus I've managed to seal it so the co2 doesn't escape
Favferrit All going nicely flushed with tap water for a couple of days, started draining the res at the bottom of pot half hour after every water try to bring the humidity down . Plus after a comment left , I've turned the co2 off as it's not actually doing anything with the weak light I'm using.
Favferrit OK so I ordered a new cob cree full spectrum led lamp 240w I think ,it was £60 on amo for a extra tenna it is so much brighter reminds me of my 600 hps in my cupboard at my mums when I was a teenager, without thre anxiety of burning my parents house down . Due too the extra brightness and heat I've turned ed the co2 back on for now until I've asked if it is worth it . The plants are doing well ,better than ever expected the new light has been on for two days and wether its coincidence or not the I've noticed a difference in flower growth

Favferrit So I've got a new generic £60light from amo with 2 cob led s it runs hotter , I got rid of one last to make some room ,also managed to dry the soil out so much in an attempt to get rid of tiny flies I stressed them out and they did not grow for a week , they have recovered with flowering avengence,I've been flushing regularly not sure when to stop feeding if any one could help with that
Amazing plamt but the space in my limited grow room /wardrobe defo caused me issues ,I've two more seeds just starting for outdoors

Favferrit One plant harvested at 12 weeks ,dry weight is 2 oz /56 g ,not bad for one pot and cheap light . One more plant left in pot but actually looks like its got a couple of weeks to go
Favferrit Week 13 glad the other plant came out didn't take long for the last one to move into the extra space this one looks like it wants to just keep going
Looks good for a budget grow. If I may offer some pointers, I would suggest getting a PAR meter & a thermal temp gun to get the most potential out of your lights onto your plants. Also your temps for this stage are a bit low. Cannabis plants love heat and humidity the buds hate it. So veg & early flower we can exploit that for more vigorous growth. Veg & early flower we can go up to low 80's with lights on and no more than 9 degrees less with lights off. When cannabis plants are exposed to large temp fluctuations more than 10 degrees in veg and early flower they stretch. When they are done growing vertically by weeks 4 to 6 of flower depending on strain, That same stress will instead signal the plants to send more energy to the budding process and to cake up more.
I would suggest getting the lights closer to the plants as possible. Lack of light intensity will give airy buds without much cake on them. Keep up the great work man really impressive on a budget. If you have a minute check out my 200 light LED 7,000 plant diary & follow my profile. If you ever have any questions feel free to ask. Happy growing!
@Favferrit, Glad I could help, few quick tips when bringing your lights closer.
'If you have yet to get a Therm gun and PAR meter, use the top of your hand over the plant tops to judge the temp and watch out for signs of taco-ing.
When the cannabis plant gets too much light it will fold it's leafs inwards exactly like a taco, it does this to shut down photosynthesis.
Hey mate! For the tiny light that you’re working with these plants are doing astonishingly good!
I’m just confused as to why you’re using CO2. It’s a total waste in your case and there’s no need for it. CO2 only helps if you’re growing within very tightly controlled parameters and with A LOT of light and way higher temperatures. Seeing as you’re using a 40W light and your temps are nearly too low, the CO2 you’re adding could actually hurt your plants more than it’ll benefit them.
I’d suggest to remove CO2 entirely until you got very high temps and a powerful proper light.
Happy growing!
@Favferrit, I’m not sure about an upper limit in temperature. 30-36°C (86-96.8°F) is no problem when you’re running CO2.
IMO 27°C is the temperature where it starts to make sense to use CO2.
@Elodin,ok thanks for that, I think I'll just leave it off now ,I was thinking of digging the old hps out , but I think I'll carry on with this cheap Chinese led to see what happens
