Welcome to a diary I was waiting for so long.
When I grew Hawaiian snow and especially when I smoked her, I knew that this is my all-time favourite strain.
So I couldn’t wait to grow her again, and finally I got my hands on the seeds and germinated them in easy plugs.
Great service by greenhouse seeds with a super fast shipping and cool Hawaiian snow stickers 😎
My plan is to grow them in 11 Liter fibre pots and give them about 4-5 weeks of vegetation. Because I’m only growing 4, the space will be less limited then usually and I will grow them to a tall size.
I hope to see you soon in this diary!
Welcome to the first week of vegetation for my Hawaiian snow!
So this grow i decided to choose a different style of growing.
I gave them a soluble of mykorrhiza in order to let them create a good environment for the roots.
Additionally I’m giving them biological fertilisers from green buzz liquids to create a healthier soil.
In flowering I’ll switch to mineral fertilisers to push and enhance the performance of the flower-building and Hope the mykorrhiza won’t suffer too much and have enough good from the before given biological fertiliser.
So that’s it for now, see you soon!
Welcome to the second week of vegetation for my Hawaiian snow!
Really good branching so far and a healthy colour.
The humidity is quite low which causes the leaves to be a bit more dry, but that’ll be fine.
See you next week ✌️
Welcome to my Hawaiian snow diary!
I transplanted them today into 11 Liter gronest pots with bio bizz light mix.
Now they receive biological fertilisation for 4 more days and then I’ll switch to terra aquatica.
One Hawaiian snow just doubled her branches on every second node so far, also her leaves are doubled…
Really corious about what’s going to happen with this special pattern of growth I never had before. Let’s see!
Welcome to the fourth week of vegetation for my Hawaiian snow!
They are all doing good, the one in the second row on the right is the weakest though.
The mutant in the front on the left is exploding, really interesting phenotype!
Welcome to the second week of flowering, or rather stretching after I switched the lights!
Smooth growth, sativa-pattern and a healthy Green. I enhanced the fertilisation to an EC of 2.0, and they’re taking it really good. pH is at 6.5, as always.
They stretch a lot, I’m sure they’ll get pretty big soon!
See you next week✌️
Welcome to the third week after switching the lights!
They’re stretching a lot right now, huge branches and the first pistils start to show up.
See you next week ✌️
Welcome to the fourth week of flowering for my Hawaiian snow!
Goddamn they stretched faster than I was able to look at them.
One grew in the light, I but the lamp higher and did some HST to some branches, they’re super tall it’s unbelievable how fast they grew.
I hope next week they’ll be finished with stretching, you can already spot dozens of nice small flowers!
See you next week✌️
Welcome to the fifth week of flowering for my Hawaiian snow!
Finally she stopped stretching and she should be fine with the height of the lamp…
I did some HST to keep her a bit lower, which worked really well. Huge branches with endless buds are now shooting out pistils✌️
See you next week!
Welcome to the sixth week of flowering for my Hawaiian snow!
Some different phenotypes are displaying Now, not in terms of smell, but in terms of Bud-size. Some produce thicker buds and some really small ones.
Let’s see what the next weeks will bring!
See you next week ✌️
Welcome to the seventh week of flowering for my Hawaiian snow!
She’s thickening up and the first pistils are turning brown. Still they’ll need about 5 more weeks, but it’s totally worth it
Welcome to the eighth week of flowering for my Hawaiian snow!
As you can see she’s slowly thickening up, but it’ll take at least 4 more weeks until harvest, so about 12-13 weeks in total, which you should keep in mind if you want to grow that strain. But to me it’s absolutely worth it.
Week 9 of flowering for my Hawaiian snow!
One phenotype seems to be a bit faster in ripening, but the others seem to need 3 more weeks or so.
I might change the light to 14/10 next week as I heard it helps sativas to show them they should finish up…
See you next week ✌️
Welcome to the tenth week of flowering for my Hawaiian snow!
She’s ripening now, I reduced the light to 10 hours to give them the signal to finish.
I’ll flush them next year with canna flush and harvest them I think in 10-12 days…
Welcome to the 11th week of flowering for my Hawaiian snow!
They’re ripening right now on the stem until they dried to the point were they’re ready to harvest.
See you soon with the harvest report!
Welcome to the harvest report on my Hawaiian snow!
I love this strain since years and it was time to grow her again.
I decided to plant 4 of her in order to receive a shitload of finest Hawaiian snow flowers.
GROW:
Throughout the grow she was really easy to handle; nice sativa-Style growth pattern with long branches.
When switching the lights I already thought that they might stretch a lot, but when they stretched about 300% I was. Just blown away by the strength of sativas!
She developed flowers quite early, but that’s reasonable regarding her stretching.
I quickly recognised the different phenotypes.
One plant didn’t really develop frosty buds, but therefore a huge yield. The other ones were pretty frosty and the one which grew multiple branches in one node even got a little purple.
HARVEST:
The harvest was a hell of work, super long branches and fluffy buds were making it a hard work, but worth it.
The first plant I harvested for me 96 g, the second one 115g.
The third one was about 56 and the last one only yielded 42 grams. All in all I still got those 317 g of dried too shel sativa-buds so I’m really happy with the result!
SMOKE:
The smoke depends on the phenotype and my drying process, as I harvested a few a bit late when they were already dried out.
So the smoke is sometimes kinda harsh but always really tasty citric and earthy.
EFFECT:
The effect of the Hawaiian snow can definitely be described as uplifting and socialising. It’s a perfect strain for evenings with friends, sitting and chatting and definitely laughing all the time!
It’s makes you feel awake for hours and the effect lasts extremely long.
I smoked it at 6 pm and was super high for at least 3.5 hours!
I can only recommend this strain to any sativa-lover and people who want to stay active throughout the day!
Im not giving her 10 stars this time as she is not exactly as strong as the one I grew last time, maybe some marginal differences, but still she’s one of my all time favourites and I would grow her again any time!
