CapeGrows We made use of easy plugs for our germination. They were placed in to the net pots filled with clay pebbles. All 4 sprouted and we are ready to go. They were given an 18/6 light cycle as this is what we will use throughout our vegetative phase. This allows for less stress and more consistency throughout.

Rockwool cubes are super simple and super reliable too, just keep them damp, not wet. I agree with Benzels, always plant more seeds than you need, that way you can pick the healthiest ones; and not all seed germinate either. I generally plant two fem seeds for each fem plant I want and 6-9 regular seeds for each regular plant I want. This way you only grow the best examples of each strain and with the regulars, out of 6 or 9 seedlings, your chances of picking a "female looking" one is greatest.

Straight in pots filled with my home recipe of seed raising mix and this eliminates all risks associated with handling them. Never start them in paper towel or by drowning them in a glass of water, I found this delays development once they are finally transferrred to soil.

CapeGrows This week the PH has been very stable at 6.1. Plants have reacted very well to the topping of the previous week. Using Low Stress Training methods to start creating an even canopy. We use different tools, for example: plant wire and plant training clips

CapeGrows We did a Florakleen flush, for 24 hours, at the end of this week. We flush with Florakleen, as it breaks down the built-up minerals in the root system, which helps the roots to consume the nutrients better in the next nutrient feed. We have had some very good results with this product. We are concentrating growth on the shoots, by removing excess shoots and leaves.

CapeGrows We topped the rest of the shoots for the second time this week. we will be concentrating on low stress training until the plants are ready for the flip. The plants have reacted well to the topping of the shoots. The PH for the system stabilises on PH 6.0 after a few days. In South Africa, we have electricity outages for two hours every few days, which we have emergency lights that go on once the electricity goes off just to keep the plants awake.

CapeGrows We continue with the low stress training on each plant. We want to create an even canopy, so that we utilise the whole grow space. Plants have been in the same solution for a little bit longer, and we could see that the PH has stabilised after a few days.

Happy Growing, Buddy! 🌱🌱🌱

A great strain. I had got onto some of this a few years ago from Dutch Passion. The plants I grew were quite heavy yielders compared to literally anything I had grown. I was using this strain to control my epilepsy as well as for my sons seizures. I found it a lifesaver for us both. Hopefully it does what you need it to. Take care and enjoy!

@CapeGrows, I believe that CBD is literally a godsend. Since I have been using it, I have been seizure free. I have recently got a small supply for my little son, which should be enough to get us by until our own plants are ready again. I am looking to continue growing supply to keep me and my son medicated, hoping to be long-term self sufficient. The oil I used to make was with ethanol. I think it's what they call crude oil. Strips everything off the leaves, including unwanted impurities I am told. I had recently invested in a precision oven, and will be using coconut MCT and soy lecithin. Looking forward to making my own meds again, and making it more palatable will be a good thing.

@JimBobTas, We can't agree more! Thats awesome, We are so happy that it helps with your seizures! We use Coconut MCT as our carrier oil. We grew FastBuds Auto's CBD 20:1 for our previous CBD run. We got 7% CBD and 0.265% THC when we lab tested our oil, which we were very happy with. We decarb only the flowers, removing all fan and sugar leaves. We then infuse the MCT oil with the decarbed flower, by using a double burner on the stove.

@CapeGrows, yes, it is good stuff. I give it that much. I am glad you're lab testing thc/cbd content etc also. I wish I had the financial ability to do that here, as I would test various strains and grow for optimised medicines. And yes, I intend to do much the same thing creating the oils, but also will be adding a little sunflower lecithin as I have been told this aids as a carrier for cbd etc.
