Eleven Roses Early Version

Extreme The seeds sprouted and were immediately transplanted from the peat tablets into 10-liter fabric pots. One of the three plants had its first true leaves symmetrically deformed; at first, I thought I damaged the roots during the transplant, but that’s not the case. I was glad I played it safe and germinated a third seed. We'll keep an eye on it.

Extreme Two plants are developing absolutely normally and equally, although one of the seeds was planted without prior soaking. Next time I won't soak, one day saved in time, and there's no risk of damaging the seedling during transplanting. The stems turned green after the nighttime temperature increased. The leaves of the third plant haven't recovered and started to yellow, leading me to conclude that this is a mutation, not root damage as I previously thought. I felt bad about throwing the plant away, so I decided to give it a chance and just removed the first and deformed leaves. As further development showed, I wasn't wrong. More on that later. The hygrometer that was gifted to me when I bought the grow box showed humidity around 23-25% during the day. I thought those values were incorrect, so I purchased a Xiaomi Mijia 2 hygrometer that connects to my phone and keeps a history of temperature and humidity measurements for the last 6 months, and it costs only a little more than the one I was given. I'll share its statistics in the coming weeks.

Extreme Two plants (#1, #3) grew to the third node and I immediately did some topping, maybe I rushed a bit, but I left the big leaves so photosynthesis could continue. Another plant (#2) is a bit behind after removing the deformed leaves. I'm trying not to overwater the plants, basing it on the weight of the pot before and after watering. After buying a hygrometer, I managed to gather some statistics, and indeed the humidity drops to 23% by the end of the light cycle in the box. I hope that as they grow and more leaves appear, the humidity will increase. I’m using fertilizers according to the standard BioBizz chart (https://www.biobizz.com/producto/trypackindoor/). The price for branded fertilizers is unjustifiably high, so I’ll probably stop using them after this set runs out and find something cheaper. Stay tuned to the diary to find out what exactly.

Extreme Plants #1 and #3 have recovered after topping, and I decided to bend them, and of course, I over-bent one of the stems and almost broke it. So, I tied the stems with a rubber band and left it for a day. The stem healed, and I continued bending. Plant #2 is still lagging behind after removing the mutated deformed leaves, and moreover, the new leaves are also a bit deformed and asymmetrical. The coconut substrate in the pots has settled, so I added some peat substrate from the nearest store. Humidity during the day is still at 30%, I tried to solve it by placing two trays of water, maybe evaporation will help. For safety and for fun, I set up a webcam in the box. Now I can watch the plants from work :-) It's relaxing.

Extreme The plants continue to grow. I'm starting LST training. To control humidity in the grow box, a humidifier has been installed. With automatic humidity control. I'm managing to keep humidity between 30-70%. It's really great to watch the plants remotely through the webcam. I attached a video when the steam turns on, it looks just amazing, enjoy it with me. Extreme I'm continuing to train the plants. All three plants have been spread out to eight main colas. And now it’s getting a bit boring because all that's left is to water them :-) And wait for them to grow.

Extreme After doing LST and Topping, the plants have slowed down a bit in growth; let's see how it goes from here. When bending one of the plants (#3), I broke two branches at once. For the future: never bend after watering and in the morning. The leaves of plants 1 and 2 have developed yellow spots, nutrient deficiency, I'll need to figure that out.

Extreme I had to leave my plants "unsupervised" for ten days. So, an automated watering system was set up. Instead of BioBizz fertilizers, I chose Grow More Orchid fertilizers with an NPK value of 20-10-20. During this time, the solution hardly bloomed, and the plants responded positively. In terms of price, they are significantly more economical than everything offered for growing by well-known brands.

Extreme I haven't been able to take diary shots for two weeks. I left the grow box unattended again for 12 days on the auto-watering system. In the last few days, the system broke down and the pots were completely dry when I returned. But the plants handled it fine, and even the root system filled the entire volume of the pots. The orchid fertilizer performed really well.

Extreme The plants themselves have transitioned to pre-flower (at least one). I don't know, maybe it's in the genetics, but they seem to be photoperiod, possibly because they stood without water for a bit. But I was already wanting to switch, since they are quite big, and I got tired of waiting after all the training. So I switched to 12/12. And they just shot up in growth, probably 2-3 cm a day, I hope it's enough height for the box until they stop and start flowering :-) I decided not to use Scrog, they turned out lush enough as is. The buds are delicate and beautiful, and so far they don't smell at all.

Extreme The plants switched to flowering on their own last week, so I switched to a 12/12 schedule. It's only been a week of flowering. The buds are actively gaining mass. I removed the largest fan leaves. There's almost no smell.

Extreme 3 weeks into flowering. The colas are developing buds. I removed almost all the fan leaves. The sugar leaves are covered in trichomes. The upper buds have a few yellowing pistils; they are maturing faster than the lower ones. Probably in a week, if the buds stop actively growing, I’ll stop using nutrients and will start flushing for a week before harvest.
