Day 1: I placed 6 seeds of mixed orgin (I suspect Ice Cream Cake) in a plastic bag, wrapped in a coffee filter. I sprayed 2 mists of room temperature water into the bag, and left it near a heater to maximize humidity. Day 2: All 6 seeds have sprouted out of their casing, and I will be moving them into their own containers here in the coming days! I'm not sure how big exactly they're supposed to be before planting, so I'm going to eyeball it! Day 3: The taproots have grown to a decent size by the time I got home from work, and I picked up some good starter pots from my local hydro store. Thanks to the advice of Organoman, I have decided to plant them now! For the first night, I will have the light on until sunrise. After today I will have a light cycle of 18 hours light, and 6 hours dark. I have started by spraying 10 times each plant, and I'm not sure how much exactly that is, but I will have to keep measurement better with a cup of sorts. I used Happy Frog soil for each pot, and put each seed about 1 1/2" deep in the soil. They are labeled as "plants 1-6", and I left room to give the females a nickname when they start deciding gender. Ready to see some sprouts! Day 4: no update Day 5: 4 out of the 6 seeds sprouted up last night, so I checked their soil this morning and gave them a quick watering, as it was pretty cloudy outside this this morning. [PM update]- The final 2 seeds have sprouted!! I have set up my oscillating fan to be blowing on all 6 plants, as well as a heater to keep it around 70°-76°f.

I have 6 seeds with taproots started, but how long should I wait to place them into their tiny, pre veg pots? Any info will be appreciated!

Plant now, as soon as you can see the root starting. This will limit any potential to damage the root if left to grow too long. Please use decent pots, "tiny pre veg pots" will just limit their development and stunt them. Ideally, black plastic pots about 4 inches across and 5 inches deep are perfect for seedlings for about 3 weeks. If you want big plants, you can't start them in thimble sized pots, the roots will hit the bottom in 2-4 days and signal the plant to slow down as it will think it is already running out of room. To see the root system of a 3 week old seedling and get an appreciation as to why deep pots are necessary for proper root development, go to week 7 in my diary "cannabis conundrums" and you will find pictures of the exposed root system, along with many other interesting cannabis pictures if you are keen for an insight into why deep pots are so vital for early development of seedlings. More roots = more plant. It really is that simple! Hope this helps, Organoman.

How much water should I be giving my seedlings? I don't want to drown them, but my fan is blowing on them, and they are in direct sunlight for around 10 hours a day. Elevation is around 8000', if that effects anything! Thank you for any advice in advance, I appreciate you all!

There's too many factors to give an exact amount, however I do tend to drench the whole pot and let the roots find their way to the bottom on my first watering, allowing the plant to dry up and the roots will search down for the water over the next 5 days, though it may be different for you given that you aren't using a grow light. The water will dry at the top and 2 inches down within 3-4 days give or take 1-2 depending on many factors such as lighting, air circulation, temperature ect. Make sure you're pH is on point 5.5-6.5 when you water and good to check after adding fertilizer as well, some fertilizers will alter pH levels enough to cause harm, but you only need to check this once, Unless you change the serving per gallon, then I would check again to make sure that fertilizer doesn't impact it too much. After the first leaves appear, the plant needs fertilizer, Nitrogen - 4 Phosphorus - 3 K(Potassium) - 3 Is what I use, some like to use more and others use less. Try to keep it organic or as close as you can and for the love of god, please do not use Miracle Grow! Good Luck and happy growing!

small amounts, only water when top bit of soil is dry and don't over water. Its hard to fully elaborate it till you just do it. I use a mini spout for filling a iron and I will water one cap of that till the soil drys. I also make my seedling mix very airy to help prevent any compacting and overwatering issues. Good Luck!

They only need very little as they are very little 😁. Only water a circle around the stem and try to keep the corners dry until they start getting there second set of "true" leaves. This will ensure oxygen can get to the roots at all times. When you do saturate the whole pot you want to let it dry to around 1" deep before watering again. Happy Growing

After sprouting, all my seeds have two sets of leaf growth, and are making great progress! Nothing with environmental or watering changes, just keeping keeping watered as they become dry-ish. Week 1 is exciting!

All through week 2, the plants have been growing very consistently! To the advice of Roberts, I have been watering them twice daily as needed, on alternating sides of the pot. For some reason, plants 1-3 seem to be stretching sideways a bit, and even as I rotate the dish, plant 1 is especially bendy. Curious as to why this is happening, and I will be posting in the questions.

Why is my plant stretching weird? I have three that are exhibiting the same behavior, so I'm not sure what I can do to change it. Any advice to fix this? Thank you!

Definitely light, like the others have said. You should stake your plants they are going to need it, otherwise they will just topple over. They can still come back from this. Give it around 18 hours of light and 6 hours of sleep. Find vegetative stage grow lights LED for better energy savings and you'll be fine. Good Luck!

They NEED 6-8 hours of direct sunlight as a minimum, not just indirect lighting coming through a window. Sunshine on their leaves in other words.

Late update, but growth has been steady! I ended up with 2 males, and have killed them off, but 4 out of 6 is a great ratio for non fem so I am pleased. I have been using silica to increase stem strength for the outdoor transition, and as of May 30th, I have topped them to get that process going. I am very excited to see what happens, and I am intending of putting them out in the next couple weeks.
