Jumped the gun a bit on the first week. I germinated all 3 but once one of them started to show a good size root I placed them all into soil, despite others not fully rooting yet but showing just a little root.
A few days later the “main” plant then sprouted out of the soil and the other two hasn’t, I had thought for sure that they were goners and ordered some different seeds. Although I was low-key relived that they were goners as I didn’t want 3 of the same strain growing at once.
Now that I had come to terms with 2 of them failing and new seeds on the way, they of course decided to come to life and sprout up! I knew they said autos were very hard to mess up but I honestly wasn’t expecting this level of resilience in the beginning.
On the 3rd plant that sprouted, I had to do a very bootleg transplant of it just to move it more towards the center of the pot as it sprouted a bit too close to the walls. (Since I moved the soil looking for the seed)
I think with the new seeds arriving and wanting some variety in the plants, I’ll probably move one of them to the outside and grow 4 within the tent. The outside one I’ll let naturally grow and still feed the same amount of nutrients, instead it’ll just be the outdoor plant.
8/4 - Plants 1 and 2 are doing very well and seem to be going in a very good direction. Plant 2 pulled thought and is currently the underdog from coming from a bad start to outshining the perfect plant 1!
8/4 - Plant 3 had a bad start, I fucked this one up and moved the soil around looking for the seed, when it finally sprouted I did a bootleg transplant to move it back into the center of the pot. The leaves refused to sprout for about a week and are now slowly creeping out. If it actually sprouts then this plant will go outside, and if not then a new plant will take it's place instead.
Day 15 - Plants 1 and 2 are going strong, just fed them with Top Auto and Big One, for all 3. Plant 3 is still a struggle bus right now.
Day 16 - While doing some general maintenance, I dropped my humidifier monitor onto Plant 2 and it bend the entire plant, had to make a makeshift brace to pull it back up right. Praying that she survives the trauma.
Day 22 now - I have named all 3 plans, Lina, Luna and the failed Meg.
Meg clearly isn’t doing well, and even in the tent her growth has clearly stunted. She has been moved out of the tent to make way for my new humidifier and a replacement plant.
Lina and Luna and both doing really well, I’m waiting for them to get slightly taller before I start LST, but I’m looking to start it by mid week.
Day 23 - The plants were looking a bit droopy when I checked in on them, could have been that it was during the lights off cycle, but just to be on the safe side I turned the cycle back to 24 hours for a few days.
Day 24 - Plants were less droopy, begun LST, will see how they fair over the next few days.
Day 24 - Meg is still looking sad and small, but she hasn't fallen over yet, it's almost like trying to kill a cockroach at this point.
Day 25 - Figured out what was causing the drooping, turns out I wasn't watering the plants enough, caught it before it was too late and plants recovered nicely.
Day 27 - Continued LST on both plants, went a bit too far on Lina and she snapped. I tried to tape her back up but by the next day her leaves were not doing good at all and she was about to fall off entirely. Made the decision to just pull her off and effectively topped her. With that I also topped the other plant.
Day 28 - Continued the LST training on Luna for now while Lina rests up a bit, both are still doing well. Also upped the nutrients to an extra ML to inch a bit closer to the recommended amounts from the manufacturer.
Overall nothing much happened this week, plants growing normally and haven’t ran into any challenges.
Plants have become very bushy though, I’m expecting it to go into the preflowering stage soon.
Days 37 & 40, removed a lot of the lower leaves to give better airflow and focus the overall growth to the top of the plants
So far the week has been good, nothing crazy has happened.
Trimmed some of the plants down to provide more airflow and focus bud development on the top.
Shouldn't be too long now until the flowering period begins.
On this week the preflowers began shortly after I started to ScrOG, I only used this method for a week as it became very hard to get into my tent and water the plants properly. Overall I also didn't find that it was working too well with my setup so I removed it.
Week 2 of flowering has now begun, all plants are looking good and I have just switched them over to Top Bud to help out with bud development. Buds are overall looking healthy and harvest is looking like it's a few weeks out!
