Used Fox Farm Ocean Forest as a medium, first time starting from seed, first time running autos. Two autos, one photo. LSD and Purple Punch for the auto, Do-si-do's 33 for the photo.
Success with all 3 seeds! LSD came up first on day 6, the DSD33 the next morning, and finally the Purple Punch today. Pretty happy with how its going, just worried I either over or under water. There is already a little bit of yellowing on the LSD, but I'm probably just over thinking it, just gotta give it time, barely a week in.
Still just started out, but good progress. Heating mat got here which is good as the house gets a little chilly at night during the spring. Due for some serious sunshine this week, hoping that helps them along a little. The Purple Punch seems a little on the small side compared to the others, but it's still early.
So I'm getting a little weird with the purple punch and just leaving it under a cheap grow light 24/7 for the first couple weeks. Just seeing what's gonna happen, it seems like it might be stunted as it hasn't grown a whole heckuva lot. The Do-Si-Dos looks like it's doing the best, and the LSD looks strong too. Had a bit of cold weather at the beginning of the week followed by a ton of hot weather so these girls are getting exposed to the mountain weather variance early, but I think it slowed down some initial growth early on, hopefully some warmer weather pushes them along. Interested to see what happens.
Pulled the plug on the whole cheap light thing. The Purple Punch was just not doing so hot so I brought it up to the daylight and just am letting it (hopefully) recover. It think it was just too cold in the basement, even with the heating pad. The LSD seems to have finally taken off and the Do-Si-Do is actually doing the best of the 3. I think the low temps had them slow going at first, hopefully they take off. I have 3 other strains I've planted that I'm not documenting as heavily, planted a week later, that are about the same size so I think plant later is the plan next year. Weird spring weather too to be faiiiiir.
Purps is stunted I'm 99% sure. We'll see what happens when we get them into normal pots but they all seem kind of small, I'm going to chalk it up to bad weather and a weird spring. We are getting temps into the 80's next week so they should take off (I hope). The DSD and the LSD seem to be doing ok, DSD is definitely the healthiest of them all. The LSD is a bit smaller but I think it may be because it's an auto.
