So this is my second time growing 707 Truthband. After my first grow this has become my favorite strain. Very pungent frosty and dense buds with a lovely flowery aroma with hints of fuel. It also had some pretty purple colors that came out late in flowering. I'm really looking forward to how this one comes out. Hopefully very similar to the first grow. I'm growing in a coir/perlite mix with some clay pebbles thrown in. I'm reusing about half of the coir from my last grow. I hear that's one of the benefits of coir.
Tyreese seems to be growing vigorously. I did some low stress training on day 17 of veg. I'm hoping to get this plant larger than my first grow of 707 Truthband. There is definitely a smell in the tent now.
So the tent is starting to get smelly. In a good way. I'm pretty sure it's the 707 Truthband and not the Green Poison (Carol). I'm gonna let them veg for one more week before I flip the lights to 12/12.
I had to do some defoliation. Tyreese was getting super bushy. No light penetration. Noticed a little yellowing on the margins of a few leaves as well as some burnt looking tips. Not sure if too close to the lights or if I have a bit of a potassium deficiency. The Extreme Serene has a little extra potassium, so I boosted that . I also lowered the plants about five inches from the lights.
I flipped the lights to 12/12. Tyreese already appeared to be stretching a little. The yellowing on the margins of the leaves has stopped with the addition of cal/mag. Here we go!
Well, the stretch is on. I keep having to lower the plants because they're stretching so much. Tyreese is much larger than the other one. Keeping the canopy even is keeping me busy.
Buds are starting to take off. Still stretching like mad. I still have a few inches of space to play with, but I'm hoping she doesn't stretch much more.
She continues to fill in quite nicely. It's looking like the buds are gonna be long compared to my last grow of this strain. Branches are starting to lean.
Well, she is growing wild. The branches are starting to flop all over the place. I added a few stakes and tried to tie her up a little. Just starting to get some purple coming through.
So several branches are nearly bent in half with the weight of the buds. Started with Aurora Innovations Soul Peak finisher in hopes of putting on a little more weight. One more week to go.
I'm very pleased with the outcome of this strain once again. This time around I got a much larger harvest than the first time. the plant and bud structure is very different this time. The plant is much larger with skinny branches that could barely support the weight. The first time produced a much stockier plant with dense rounded buds. This time the buds aren't as dense, but they're much larger. Same beautiful smell and taste of fuel and flowers with a hint of fruitiness. I love this strain.
This strain is a pleasure to grow. I didn't get quite as much purple as I did the first time, but it wasn't as cool in the evenings. That doesn't take away from how lovely these buds are though. I'm very pleased with the larger yield. Such a unique and flavorful smoke. I'll have to get more seeds. I love Emerald Triangle Seeds.
