cheetah844 -SOAKING SEEDS STARTED AT 4:15PM on 4/2/22 All of them sank by the next day with a little stirring of the water - most of them were floating before I stirred the water then they sank & stayed underwater. -PLANTING SEEDS STARTED AT 6PM on 4/3/22 Seedling Starter Soil: 1 Coco Coir Block (hydrated with 12cups aquarium water) About 5 cups Vermiculite 4Tbsp Down To Earth Starter Nutrients Mycorrhizal Fungi Spring Water - watering the hole with mycorrhizal before planting seed & then again after planted. -AFTER THE FIRST SPROUT ON 4/5/22 Turned on seedling clip light to blue only, dimmest setting @ 20%. Keeping light on for 18/6 6am-12pm - 4/6/22 INCREASED BLUE ONLY SEEDLING LIGHT TO 50% It seems like they were slightly stretching for light **watch for light burn on cotyledon leaves** -4/7/22 MORNING INCREASED BLUE ONLY SEEDLING LIGHT TO 100% The plants are stretching even more I increased light to full 100%, it'll have to keep an eye on them & make sure they don't get light burnt or topple over from reaching -4/7/22 AFTERNOON SWITCHED LIGHT TO GIIXER The two tallest plant cotyledon started to droop to the side so I didn't want to take a risk continuing to try the clip light only on blue @ 100%. I have the Gixxer on only veg at a distance of 10" away from the tops of the cotyledon leaves. I also cracked the lid & put an oscillating fan on low just to give them a tiny bit of movement to strengthen their stems because they'll be tall and weaker with stretching. *I tried using a new seedling light & it was a failure - they are now stretching due to that light. I switched back to my trusted seedling light & hoping they'll be back on track.*

cheetah844 This is my very first strain I created by crossing Purple Buddha x Jack Herer. I named it Velvet Jack. I'm excited to watch it grow, it is a regular seeds I'm hoping I have a female, we'll see. I filled the nursery bags up with soil to the top to bury more of the stretched stem for stability. I moved the light up to 14 inches above canopy to prevent light burn, they're growing bigger everyday.

cheetah844 The true leaves are coming in nicely 🤗🌱 It's doing well & I can see small spots of mycorrhizal fungi on top of the soil so I know the roots must be loaded with them!

cheetah844 Getting tall. I have light wind blowing on it to strengthen the stem because it will be going outside. I think I'll need to start training it early.

cheetah844 Wow another one that's jumped 3" inches. This is the first grow of the very first strain I've ever created. I'm excited to say the least. Hopefully it's a female and we'll see how the flower turns out. If it's a male I'll have extra pollen for future seeds & breeding.

cheetah844 One of my own personally created strains. It definitely has the Jack Herer tall genetics. I topped and defoliated every plant. I'm trying to form them into canna-bushes. Hopefully I'm doing the correct training procedures to make them all grow that way both indoors and out.

cheetah844 In-home genetics 💚 We'll see how it grows & what it is come gender reveal time 😂 It's been a little stormy here so they're outside hardening off. I topped every bud site on every plant, both indoors & outdoors.

cheetah844 These plants are handling these crazy outdoor weather spikes pretty well. I put this new garden in so the soil is just okay, I'm still amending it and trying to dial in the pH.

cheetah844 It's been consistently hot and dry here but the plants show no heat stress. I've never grown in this area of the yard, it's shaded for a few hours middle of the day when sunlight is at it's brightest/hottest. So initially I was concerned of the lack of sunlight slowing growth a little bit it's been perfect for this summers weather.

cheetah844 They're starting to grow out more. Hopefully they'll start filling out soon. I'm second guessing the diameter of my homemade cages, hoping they'll be a support & training cage for when the plant is younger.

@JamMAKEcan, EXACTLY! Me too. I keep my med needed or really quality wanted strains indoors. I tend to put my sativas outdoors to let them grow to the sun. The last one got over 10ft & even though it's legal, I don't want to tell the whole neighborhood - look I'm growing huge plants - I don't want the extra attention. People will already be able to tell by the smell but at least they won't be able to directly see it with training.

@CrazyHorse, thank you hopefully they stay beautiful. They're going to be out in the elements & in some outdoor soil (hoping it's not too much clay for them). We'll see if or what bugs we find growing in this yard.

Great job, what kind of nuits do you use. I'm outside also. I have been lucky with bugs, hopefully it stays that way.
cheetah844
cheetah844commented2y ago
@Pjm70, sorry it's been a very long time since I've been on here, life took over. I use down to earth dry nutrients along with fresh water fish tank water for the most part. And during the grows if I feel the plant is lacking or overnourished I add or remove various nutes as needed.
cheetah844
cheetah844commented3y ago
@Pjm70, I use a variety... Several Down to Earth dry nutrients, Aloe, Silica, Aquarium Water, Kelp, Earthworm Castings, I'm sure I'm forgetting something. If you'd like I can go into further detail. I'm sorry for the very late response.
