I'm restricted by height with only a total of 2ft from base to the light. With a previous test grow everything seemed to go really well so the plan this time is to grow 1 auto as low as I can go, maybe pinch out the first tip then LST to try and fill the space while keeping the growth as flat as possible
The mandarin punch auto is currently sharing the space with 3 girls in flower under 12 hours of light, they have a week or so to go, once they are gone the mandarin punch auto will be sharing the space with a lemonade OG auto and the light time length will be increased. I'm hoping I can virtually fill the space with the 2 auto's with a fair amount of LST as I have limited height
Been a good week for growth, started to get a couple of lower branches shooting up, so starting to pull them back to hopefully even up the weight distribution as it gets bigger. I've also increased the light time to 15 hours as the photoperiods are done and coming out tomorrow after I'll probably increase again to 18 hours, I have now also started a realgorillaseeds lemonade OG auto as I'm pretty sure I'll have enough room.
Upping the light schedule has really made a difference to the growth rate. The mandarin punch auto has started to flower and stretch, it's still a small auto but I am at least dealing with a few tops. The lemonade OG auto I started only a couple of weeks ago when I realized the mandarin punch wasn't going to fill the space. This is a steep learning curve for me and now think the next grow should be regular feminised as I'll be able to train the plants to fill the space before going to flower.
The mandarin punch auto is doing really well, it's gained more growth than I thought it would during flower, I was previously worried it was too small when flowering started now I'm worried it's gonna stretch too much in my limited 60cm high tent, it's a real emotional rollercoaster, this week it's had a tiny bit more LST and a few leaves growing down underneath removed, the water requirements have increased dramatically from only half litre every 4 days to half litre every day. It so far looks like it'll be a easy trim with not too much internodal leafing. As for the lemonade OG auto it's continued to put on some good bushy growth in the past few days, I intentionally planted her low in the hydro pot on account of the limited height so I have had to remove a couple of lower leaves as they had outgrown the pot, as soon as she is clear of the top I'll start LST. Hopefully another week of plain sailing ahead. Happy growing friends
I said I had no problems last week, would seem by saying it I wound up having what I believe to be nutrient burn, as a newb I was mixing the nutrients per the instructions but I've been told most nutrient instructions can be a little hot. In the space of a couple of days a few leaf tips curled and went crispy so the mandarin punch auto and the lemonade OG auto have been on plain water for the last 3 days in a attempt to flush a little. I plan to resume feeding at half strength. Apart from the nutrient issues not much has changed over the last 7 days with just a little bit of bud enlargement
Very little has changed with the mandarin punch auto, the buds have increased slightly, no nutrient issues since I reduced the ml/lt. Literally no smell from the buds at all despite signs of trichomes. The lemonade OG auto has bushed our quite alot and bud sites are forming everywhere which would make it difficult to wire the branches down so unfortunately due to my tents height limit of only 60cm from the floor to the light I've started high stress training by pinching twisting and bending the stems over, I plan to continue HST to increase lateral spread until the growth subsides. I'm pretty happy with progress this week and hoping to see the mandarin punch put on some weight soon. Happy harvests to all, peace
The mandarin punch auto has not progressed as well as I would like, I did have some nutrient burn a couple of weeks ago but believe I've fixed it, I'm not sure if there is a nutrient lockout pausing growth from stress or just my nerves as a newb expecting too much too soon. I have removed quite a few leaves today that had discoloured, I think due to the previously mentioned nutrient burn ., It has at last started to smell slightly as there is now visible trichomes. Fingers crossed she bulks up soon. The lemonade OG auto that is growing in the same 2x2x2 is a few weeks behind the mandarin punch but it's racing along despite some high stress training, defoliation and nutrient burn, it's forming buds nicely and has a fairly strong smell of fruity berrys. There is 2 wild perp seedings, seeds donated to me buy a guy from a weed forum and a runtz from bagseed I'm revegging in the tent as possible future projects to replace the current girls when they are done. Till next week, happy harvests peace
I deliberately missed a week as not much is happening during flower stage. The mandarin punch auto is alive but not really kicking, on paper it has about 4/5 weeks left but I'm still feeling like it should be further along at this stage. The smell is virtually nonexistent and the buds are not much bigger than my thumbnail and not dense at all, nutrient lockout? The lemonade OG auto from real gorilla seeds has caught up with the mandarin punch despite being 2/3 weeks behind but I'm now feeling like she has stalled as well, maybe it's just me getting paranoid, on the up side the lemonade OG stinks amazing. Happy harvests to all, peace
My test grow of runtz before this mandarin punch auto went really well so it gave me a false sense of being easy. I did have a couple of issues caused by myself as a noob, I was over fertilizing during the early flowering cycle and then I decided to up the light schedule to 24 hours which caused extreme light burn and completely stalled growth. The final bud upon harvest is not dense in the slightest and the terpene content is nonexistent, zero smell so I'm doubtful of any flavour in the smoke though I'll have to wait until the dry and cure to be sure. I'm not writing off mandarin punch auto just yet as I'm sure it struggled due to my own negligence. On a positive note I feel I've learned a lot from this grow, less is more, I was feeding at full strength every watering at first and it would seem 75000 lux for 24hours is to much so I'll be sticking with 18/6 light schedule and maybe dim to 75%. The wet weight is around 2oz so I'm guessing a dry weight of half Oz. If it doesn't taste great I might just BHO it. Anyway till next time peace ☮️
