Plants keep growing a bit despite the fresher weather so far and they reached the following heights PLANT 1 = 170 cm (67"), +5 cm (+2") PLANT 2 = 170 cm (67"), +10 cm (+4") PLANT 3 = 144 cm, +0 I posted some photos that shows the central cola of each plant, many white barbs are growing from branches, does it count as flowering? Plants are growing indoor on a windows and enjoying natural light that now is about 13h and 30 minutes here.

(?) Are plants 1 and 2 showing 2 different phenotypes for the different width of the leaves and the 7 vs up to 8-9 pointed leaves? (check photo and video from week 4 of my diary)

Does the 9-pointed leaves mean that my NL contains more sativa genetic? If someone was growing SensiSeeds Northern lights before, how were the leaves? Thanks

The number of blades/points on a plant leaf has no relationship or indication to either sativa or indica genetics, nor does it reflect anything else such as potency, health or vigor, it is all controlled by genetics. I have had both sativas and indicas with 13 fingered leaves. Fat, broad and usually shorter blades are usually associated with indica genes and long thin blades are usually associated with sativa genes. The picture you posted certainly shows a plant with strong indica genes, judged solely on leaf shape in my opinion, which is to be expected from Northern Lights. Hope this helps, Organoman.

Is it a good idea to remove the first 2 or 3 internodes vegetation that are closer to the soil and show small leaves with 3 points?

Why would you do that? What problem are you trying to resolve? If they're turning yellow and dying off naturally, sure, go ahead.... otherwise it's a non-issue! Good luck!

During the night, I have noticed that 2 plants out of 3 stand with normal leaves straight, while 1 has leaves going down during the darkness and when the sun rises, it gets back to normal. They are all same strain, grown in same way, why?

Hello. As with babies, each seed is a induvial and is slightly different than the others. When this plant sleeps it likes to do it with it's leaves down where as the others can sleep with their leaves up. Chuck.

Unless you’ve flipped to 12/12 DO NOT switch to bloom nutes. You’re plant is just naturally maturing to show it’s gender. It is not beginning to flower just because stigmas are showing

I'm not familiar at all with your nutes... but since they are now in pre-flower, I would be adding bloom nutes and starting to decrease grow nutes that contain a lot of nitrogen.... Good luck! Looks good!!

Hello! NL are in the 12th week of vegetation and they grew up nicely and bushy. (See photos in diary latest week) Should I do something to make it better? Maybe something about leaves amount? Thanks

There are any number of techniques you could use with photoperiods... the simplest being LST - which is gently pulling the lower branches out away from the main stem so the bud sites on them receive more light. Many folks will tell you to top them which will get you more main colas but this needs to be done when they are young - when they've got 4 or 5 nodes. There's also mainlining and fimming but I'm totally unfamiliar with those techniques. I would research the different techniques (YouTube has a lot of vids on how to do each!) and decide which of them you will feel comfortable trying... and you can combine techniques as well... Each is designed to produce more bud sites that have more access to light which in turn will produce a larger yield. Good luck - THIS grow looks great!

In week 15 of my diary I posted photos showing central colas of my 3 plants from indoor windows growth. They show many white barbs across the plant. Natural daylight here is about 13h and 30 min now. More details in diary. Did they start to flower despite it is not 12-12 yet?

They have started flowering. the 12/12 rule is a bit misleading as plants will flower within 13/11 schedules as well. Your little ladies are becoming women. Make sure to give them lots of love. It looks as if they have been in flowering for a week or so now as well because in week 14, they were in flower too. Your diary does not list a light but says its in doors, guessing you growing just off of the windows light. Will be interesting to see the results at the end of your grow. If you have a light meter you should mesure the stregth of the light coming into the window a diffrent points in the day and trying ti find an average of how much they are getting. Good Luck! ***disclaimer, multiple people are answering all questions as there is a contest called GOTM, when a user is selected as the answer they get a point. Few leaves of my plants are getting these pattern with dots. I optimistically hope that it is just part of the aging of the leaves. Other leaves became yellow and fell also (maybe worth to mention). Is it normal? Thanks

You've got a pretty intense infestation of thrips or spider mites... even if you can't see them! And it doesn't matter which it is so don't obessess with trying to figure that out... just grab yourself either some Spinosad or some Dr. Zymes Eliminator and use as directed - both will kill adult thrips, spider mites, aphids, whiteflies AND their eggs/larvae... both are organic and safe to spray through harvest... do not use neem oil as you are in flower and you don't want that oil on your buds - and it's not that effective to begin with! Good luck!

Hello, in the last page of my diary (20), I uploaded some photos of Trichomes that I took with microscope. I believe that they are not ready for my usage (insomnia is my condition) and that I should wait until they are some milky and some amber. Can someone confirm my intuition?

You're intuition is right! they are pretty clear, but a handful have started to turn. For your condition, you're going to want the trichomes to be 50% cloudy and 50% amber. This will give you that great couch lock feeling and help you catch some zzzs. I would say it should be a week or two when it will be ready to harvest, but keep an eye on those trichomes. as soon as it hits 50/50, chop it. I hope this helps. Good Luck!

I'm somewhat new also. Looks like some stretching is going on. I Maybe a little late, but yes I would try and get that seed off. Mist the seed with some water. Post more pics. I am interested in seeing where they are at now
