1 Gorilla & 2 Melon Gums - 2nd grow

Noweed What's up, people! Sorry for the time between posts. *Week 2* We put the melon seeds in 0.7L pots and the Gorilla in a final pot of 11L that’s half filled. I did this due to a lack of materials and to reuse, so there’s a height difference of about 3 cm. We will correct this in the following weeks. Watering with a little fertilizer, a lot of humidity, and low light intensity. They look strong 💪💪 Enjoy the journey!! See you soon!

Noweed Week 2 Look how the girl stretches. We're entering the second week, we fertilized a little and we see a nutrient excess due to the curvature of the leaves. They have a nice color and are growing at a good pace. With the short branching, they all look like indicas. Good luck!! See you!

Noweed What's up growers! Cultivo 2 - Week 3 We transplanted to final pots of 11 liters to see if they grow faster or if I will have water needs. They seem to be adapting perfectly to the new pot, so I decided to do LST. We see that the internodal distance of the plant is short, so it was a bad choice to apply it at such an early age to plants with indica tendencies. I'm leaving you the photos of the result so you can see what not to do 😅😂 Even while doing LST, there was a noise of root breaking.... 💀 I modified the LST a bit after my disaster and I'm moving forward. Noweed What's up growers! Updating the diary. Week 4. We're still doing some aggressive LST since the leaves of the plants are touching the ground as you can see in the photo. We're defoliating fan leaves to make some space. Good smokes! If you have any questions or suggestions, hit me up!! 😘

Noweed Last week before flowering! I'm putting up a SCROG net, but I'm not really liking the idea because they touch the ground a lot. This is my second grow, and having seen sativa varieties in the first, I can't quite adapt the techniques to this one due to the short distance between the nodes of the melon gum and the gorilla. We're applying the last doses of vegetative fertilizer. They still have a nice green color. See you! 😘

Noweed Week 6 We’ve started the flowering week and we see that the final structure of the flowering phase has been a bush-shaped plant. I’m removing the Scrog because now that the shape of the plant is defined and it’s so short, I prefer to do without it in my second grow to see if it holds the shape well or if it’s necessary. The climate isn’t perfect because the outside temperature is very cold and the humidity is concentrated. I know I haven’t filled all the space or I could have let the plants grow a bit more, but since it’s my second grow, I prefer to play it safe and as Jorge Cervantes said, better less than more. Also, I’m thinking about a fourth plant but the humidifier in the store seems to be essential. 😅 Give it a like if you want to know how it ends 😜 Bye! 👋

Noweed Peopleeeeee!!!! The plants look a bit down, I think it's because I started with an EC of 5.9 two weeks ago and now it's at 6.2 in a very short time. For this time of year, I think that's a bit low. It could also be a problem of overwatering... On the plant on the right, I'm using a Smart Pot. Since it's my first time with a Smart Pot, I don't know what might be going wrong. I'm not too worried because the color of the leaves is good, there's not too much yellowing at the moment. So we'll keep an eye out for any changes. As for the rest, the flowers are starting to form, and during the second week of flowering, I'm doing some lollipopping (first time for that too). Third week of flowering and the plants are already finishing their stretching. In the photos marked with an X, you can see how the Melon Gum on the right is developing fewer pistils than her sister and the Gorilla. What could it be due to? The answer at the end of the diary 😝😘

The climate isn't the best for this stage, summer is approaching and the temperatures are high. The plant has a lot of leaves and consequently humidity... Noweed Week 5 - Flowering Summer is coming and the plants are finding very high temperatures for the time of year. It is the first time that I have such high temperatures during flowering, but we will try to keep them hydrated. This week we have carried out another 2 irrigations of 3L, one with low EC using only Bioboost and Cal mag. The other with indicated fertilizers. We see how the Melon Gum with the SmartPot has much poorer buds than its closet companions. At this point, I realize that one of the walls of the SmartPot was completely dry and full of roots that were drying out because water evaporates more quickly in a fabric pot and I had not taken this into account. The difference is remarkable. We can see that despite having the same root structure, it cannot take advantage of them, resulting in poor buds. In addition, we begin to see yellowing of the leaves earlier. A clear lesson that we take from this crop. The breeder tells us that in the case of Melon Gum, flowering lasts 60 days, so next week we will harvest. Although the buds are not perfect when ripe, I will still do it due to the high temperatures. Good luck people! 😳
