This is my first go at the Large size pyramid, see how she goes. I think I made an error by putting the cube on the pyramid too early, maybe better to wait till roots are coming out of the cube.
Leaves a little bit smaller than I expected from Jedi Kush, this is a result I think of maybe putting the cube on too early. Maybe that's a good thing, not sure yet. See how she goes next week.
Growth is slower than expected, I topped at the 5th node and also removed the lowest two that were never going to get out. The large pyramid so far is looking maybe too large for an auto I am hoping she does not start to flower early.
Some light defoliation, removed lowest branches, 4 sets remaining. So far she looks like continuing to grow rather than flip early which is good because this is my first grow in the large pyramid. She appear to recognise it's a bigger pot. But it will take another week to get a clearer picture. This does not look like the Jedi Kush I'm used to growing from Short Stuff, it's much more stocky.
It's been a bit cold and this Jedi is looking very different from how I remember her, this one is very tight and compact, not what I expected, and maybe she can't use the full pyramid being hand watered. But it's also very cold which has had an effect.
Buds appear to be fat and fluffy but not a lot of trichomes showing yet, which is a bit of a worry, not sure what it means. Hopefully it means they'll get a lot fatter later. This doesn't even resemble in any way the jedi kush that I have come to know.
Still taking a long time to get some trichomes which are only now forming. It is hard to tell what is going on here, she is developing very bushy flowers and she is nothing like any other jedi kush I have grown in the past which form very small clusters of flowers. Still it's only 9 weeks.
She is bulking up massively and putting on lots of juice balls. It appears that the larger pyramids delay flowering, (although this is just a sample of one) while the mini pyramids hasten flowering.
A bit over 11 weeks now, she is getting very heavy with trichomes all looking good, managed to open her out a bit but not much to do really. This large pyramid is much easier to look after, it can be left for a few days whereas the mini pyramids need constant care, but they get more variety due to their small size. Will need to see what the final result is off this beast.
She'll be up for the chop any day now. Absolutely covered in a white layer of trichomes. I am very pleased with the result of the larger pyramid, easier to look after than the smaller ones and produces an even better and more stable result.
Harvest at week 13, I gave her no water for the final week, so she was already half dried when I harvested. Took just 30 mins to trim and hang and clean up afterwards, instead of the usual two days including cleaning my hydro! I estimate there is around 6 to 8 zips, but it's hard to tell buds are dense and covered there is also some juicy looking undergrowth that will go through the Slug33 press. Will update with final dry weight next week.
