Training week!
I topped her on 6/1 between the 4th and 5th nodes. The 5th node was pretty close to the 4th, so it may have been cutting it a little close, but we'll see how she likes it. She took no time to recover so I think she's going to be just fine. I placed a garden stake to shape her 3rd and 4th nodes branches out at a 45-degree angle to the 1st and 2nd so everyone gets their fair share of light.
After putting some LST clips on her, I ended up snapping one of her very young branches, on node 3. I quickly applied some micropore tape and it looks like she's losing a leaf off of the branch. After a few more days, if the rest of the branch is looking poor, I'll need to go ahead and snip it. Most of the branch was severed on the break. After rereading the strain description of Strawberry Nuggets, it mentions she's hard to train. The difficulty is how brittle her branches are getting after just a day or two. Within the first day, you can bend them easily.
I've begun using garden stakes to try and stretch her branches out directly to the sides of the pot. I think this will be safer than LST clips on her.
We started the week with a bit of an overwatering issue. I corrected it, but am hoping it didn't do too much damage to her being such a crucial time to get everything right!
