Just gave them another topping so 16 tops per plant. Still another 6 weeks or so til I can move them to the flowering tent. So nice and slow grow hopefully. Just transplanted to 2gal fabric pots.
They are in hard shape. Purple stems and woody. Maybe too much calcium? No idea . They always become happier out of straight led lights and Into the grow tent with the spider farmer lights. Let’s see how they do over next few days in this new environment the. After a trim and transplant to fresh soil
They are coming around now. They were rootbound. Bigger pots with my home made worm castings and some fresh water and they are growing at an unreal pace now
I am not impressed with this strain from the get go. Just bad, weak, genetics. I hoped for a change in flower but still not looking great. I’m not happy considering the cost of these. Sure I’m not the only person.
In comparison, my blueberry and in house genetics appleicious, which are over a week behind these, seem 2-3 weeks ahead. I can expect some stress from the bending and twisting with the scrog but still.
Anyways time will tell if she turns around. Fingers crossed she is a late bloomer, but clearly from the look of these plants they are just not healthy.
After seeing posts and videos about this strain, looks like they are pretty scantly. Small nuggets but tight and smell nice. We will see. Pretty sketchy plant thus far
2/3 of the plants are starting to fade. Middle pheno is showing deficiencies. It’s a toss up between pheno 1 and 3 . And a strong question about whether I want to keep this strain going. Robinhood Seeds, you have disappointed me greatly.
Nearing 10 weeks since 12/12 flip. These girls are throwing bananas like crazy. Just shit genetics from the get-go. Although this is not the first time I’ve had bananas from this Spider Farmer tent. I’ll have to do a light leak test once harvested. Gonna unplug the lights tonight and give a couple days to dry up a bit and I’ll be chopping them down. It’s got a really nice smell despite the tiny yield, and headaches. The smell is Very sweet.
Only drying yet. Have not tested.
Update:
After sampling, after just a week of cure, nanaz actually turns out to be great.
Rich heavy terpene smell like coffee, liquorice, candy. Flavour hash like to me. Uplifting rush for 45 minutes to a long sedative buzz. Pretty potent. Incredible really. I’m surprised and very impressed.
I wish Grow Diaries would allow me to fix the rating. I give it
*****8.7/10*****
Very troublesome. Poor genetics or did not like my environment. Will give it another chance reluctantly, also since I did not sample yet.
Update:
They are looking fantastic in the jars but still a bit larfy. Trimming was brutal but maybe most people would leave most of the sugar leaves on. It’s very very leafy so I trimmed most of it off. Smell is incredible like candy and black liquorice. After it cures for Another week I will give a smoke report.
Smoke report:
Amazing. Potent. Long lasting. Sativa lift to a indica relaxation. Excellent flavour and aroma. I wish I could change the rating. It was a bit of a pain to grow but worth it. Going to give it another shot
First let me say I usually have about a 90% pop rate on my seeds. I am running the same genetics and of the 5 pack of seeds first two were non-viable, third seed finally popped. I have two left hopefully they pop because even though my girl looked very sickly as a seedling she looks crazy now.. Very healthy and tons of frost in week 4 of flower.
I had a terrible time with this cultivar. I'm sorry to be hear you are having issues too. I can't believe they charged us that much for something like it.
@PapaNugs, okay good, but not glad to hear. I keep hoping, probably in vain that they are just “late bloomers”… but realistically, my expectations are low. Too bad… I’ll have to break out some new seeds I’ve been waiting to pop if she doesn’t work out and phase out the Nanaz…
@Freddyb420, hello! I checked out your grow. They seem to be doing a heck of a lot better than these phenos. But still a bit hard to tell the real size and shape where the pics are so close.
For what reason would you grow this that tall you would have got the same yield at 7 weeks veg. If you want to grow this tall you should top at every 3 rd node
@Gardenofweeden, I know.. good point. The thing is I am limited for space and had to wait for my flowering tent to open up. I’m a proponent of keeping plants short, especially in tents. But not sure what you mean about topping at every 3rd node.. I’ve only ever topped the very top nodes.
