There is a week gap in my photos so going forward I will go by calendar date.
Plants were unavoidably left one week with low-dose of nutrients.
Damage to lower leaves was severe so I removed them.
If you look at the difference between the pictures on 8/29 and 8/30 you can see the response to increasing nutrients
Turned air dome on - 9/1
Topped @ 6th node on - 9/2
Reduced light to 25% last week but it was still too high. Finally settled on 14.1% @ 30”. Photone app reeds 280 PPFD, probably not accurate.
Huge thank you to kingsalomonsweed!
Huge thank you to everyone that answered my grow question.
The new growth darkened over several days after I increased my grow nutrients to 12.5 ml/gal.
Looking at the pictures you can see new growth on both plants is getting lighter in color each day.
I’m thinking nitrogen, maybe?
Complete day by day photos are in the diary. Thanks
9/21 - Autopot trays have been measuring 6.3ph. The reservoir has been measuring 5.8ph so I’ve been giving 5.3ph water for 24 hours and the trays ph has fallen to 5.8 ph. I think the air domes are increasing the oxygen in the water enough to raise the pH. I’m going to try running my reservoir with nutrients at 5.3ph in the morning. I’m hoping this will be a controllable drift.
9/23 - defoliated both plants
9/24 - LST Adjusted tiedowns
PH @ 5.3 for 3 days.
Think I light burnt the plants. Damage looks worse than only a pH fluctuation.
I am still having problems with the PH being different between the reservoir and trays.
This is the list of major mistakes I made.
1- nutrient burn during seedling stage.
2- pH fluctuation that took several weeks to get under control.
3- increased the LED power too soon in the veggie stage, causing light burn.
4- more than one cola per square in Scrog
For all those mistakes, the plants still pull through and gave a decent yield
