Germinated seed into 0.5l pot to start off, popped up in 2 days. Have a 15 gallon pot mixed and ready to go, loaded with castings and dry amendments... also added a clover cover crop this time around and will transplant into this pot after 2 or 3 weeks.
First week has been good, growing fast so far. Can just see the first set of true leaves about to emerge so should see them very soon. Gave some seaweed extract at a low dose and will give this on the next few waterings. Just keeping the soil moist at the minute without over watering. See ya next week
Great week of growth, nice and healthy. I started to see roots coming out of the little pot and put it in a plastic bottle so it didnt go straight into the new soil, had to transplant 2 days after. Little bit sad after I transplanted into the 15 gallon this morning but she will love her new home. Roots were all fuzzy and myceliated which is great to see. Gave her a microbe tea with low doses of seaweed and calmag as my water is really soft here. Looking forwards to seeing her flourish in the new pot 😀
Another good week of growth, she has stretched up a fair bit due to me not giving enough light earlier in the week, I've increased the light to full power now and it's a little closer so should stop that. Topped her 3 days ago and the growth tips are slowly building. Also I removed most of the clover cover crop as I have put way too much in there and needed an overhaul, so it is now fertiliser 😂 replaced mulch with straw.
Great week again, plant is growing very quickly now. Will be flipping to flower end of next week as she should be a good size by then. Removed the two biggest fan leaves to allow more light to the lower branches. Gonna start training her soon to spread the canopy out a bit and will top dress a week after flipping to 12/12.
Getting close to being ready for flower now, think I'll give her another week, possibly 2 but I'll see how it goes. Shape of the plant is getting there, canopy is almost level and everything looking nice and healthy. Mr heavy hands here managed to accidently snap another 2 tops whilst training again 🤦♂️ she took it in her stride though and just powered through with no issues, just slowed it down a tiny bit for a day or so. Defoliated a few giant fan leaves to create a bit better airflow through the canopy also. See ya next week
She has gotten so big I've had to send her into flower today, the breeder says this strain doesn't stretch much so should be all good height wise, still have 8 to 10 inches of room to lift the light so we'll see! All going great, gave some more seaweed in the water yesterday to make sure all the trace minerals are available for this stretch phase. Will top dress again 2 weeks into flower, I probably don't need to with a 15 gallon, but just want to ensure everything is right there when it needs it. See ya next week
Looking good so far through the first week of 12/12... let's hope that continues as i usually start getting issues around week 4 of flower, so I'm hoping the bigger pot of soil will help with that. Stretch is quite minimal so far which is what the breeder says about this strain, nodes are pretty tight and overall beautifully healthy and praying leaves. See ya next week!
All going well still, no issues. Had a good defoliation and thats all im going to remove now, other than ome or two big fan leaves larer on. Flowers are just starting to build nicely now, getting exciting! I'm watering 2 to 5% of the volume of soil every day and once a week giving 10%. Seems to be working great so I will continue doing that, just can't wait to see how she looks in a few weeks 😀.
Pretty quiet week, just watching her do her thing at the minute. No issues so far, all looking dark green and lush, praying leaves and lots of stacking going on. Starting to smell real nice when i go in the room... trichomes already started popping too, she gonna be frosty! See ya next week 👍
Another week of just cruising along really, not much to report. Smell is increasing now and the frost level is high... looking forwards to seeing how she turns out from here. Done the last top dress this week and will just be water from here on out. See ya next week
Cruising along still, no major issues so far. Noticed a little bit of leaf curling at the top, so I lifted the light up a couple more inches to help alleviate some stress. I did think there were nanners growing out of the tops but I looked again and it's just new calyxes looking a touch yellow, only seeing pistils so all is well I think. Buds are starting to get really big, frost coating all the sugar leaves and just looking sexy 😀. See you all next week
Not much to do at the minute... such a happy plant, no signs of anything being deficient. Pretty much just cruising to the finish line and I think she will need at least 9 weeks, possibly 10. Pistils are starting to turn orange and get a little crinkly, calyxes are swelling up nicely. Really smelling now everytime I go in the room, especially if I touch anything. Goodstiff all round, see ya next week!
It knew something had to go wrong and just like clockwork... found some funny looking leaves on one cola, so I inspected and found early signs of bud rot. Thankfully I caught it now and not at harvest, would've been a lot worse. So anyway, I cut off the whole top as far down as necessary and I'm just praying no more appears. Been dealing with higher humidity than I would like and not enough air was passing that one cola... so I've moved the fan and reduced its speed so I can get it directly blowing the canopy, then increased the extract power and had a heavy defoliation to see if that helps to combat it. Seems to be working as I've got it down to 55 ish rather than 60 to 65. It's my only plant so I certainly won't be chucking it unless I really have to. See ya next week.
Well it's been a week of sadness but also recovery... I've had to remove 3 main tops and a secondary due to bud rot, however I've managed to stop it spreading any further, no more signs after 3 days now so pretty sure it's all clear. Bought a fairly expensive 12l dehumidifier which has a hepa filter to purify the air also. Think the combination of being brutal and getting the air clean and dry has fixed it for me... time for the chop next week so we'll find out then I guess. All in all not too bad, bud looks stunning, my phone camera doesn't do it justice but they are so frosty. Seeing amber trichomes popping up here and there so I'm thinking next week/weekend will probs be chop time. See ya next week.
The bud rot has officially gone, so what I have left will survive, yay!! Anyway, its been an easy week... much more fun when you are in full control of the environment. Will be pulling her down at the weekend, she's ready now but just want to give it a few more days to just get that extra weight. We got there in the end! See ya next week for the harvest update 😃
This was a hard one in the end... the plant had a really good life, but it still hermed on me and threw out fair amount of seeds. The bud rot was my fault as I didn't control the humidity well enough for the size of the colas she produced. Lost all the main tops to it in the end, noticed the rest when I started trimming. Overall happy but it wasn't easy at the end.
