Not a true germination. Please understand my logic. All the clones came from a greenhouse in winter. So to not shock the ladies I slowly moved the light close over the course of the week, increasing the heat slowly. I am counting this germination week while the ladies settles into their new home and pot. All the ladies came through with flying colours. Super excited to get this underway.
Start of the Veg, gave the ladies a week of "Germination" to settle into their new home and pots. Cover crop coming through with power, I fear I may have scattered a bit to many seeds for the pots 😅 But as the cover crop grows I will 'cut and drop' so it can break back down into the soil. Looking forward to the ladies veg phase have heard some awesome things about these strains.
Big training week, initial topping has responded extremely well. The Wedding Poop and Stuffed French Cake in particular have topped and trained with ease. They both stretch a lot even in Veg phase, surprising. I know its not the light they are stretching for because the Meaty#1 true to its genes has stayed short and stacked.
Issue with Magnesium which was rectified by the GlioGrow (Micro Nutrient Booster) super stoked with that. Training and topping, all plants have responded great. Meaty#1 is a short stacked plant. Tight spaces between internodes, compared to the Stuffed French Cake which has the biggest internode spacing I have ever seen. I have been warned this will stretch an insane amount in flower.
Week has been smooth, plants reacting well to the training and topping from last week. Able to do the last of the training I would like to do for the base grow.
Installing 2 layers of trellis in the next few weeks. 1st Layer will be this weekend, in preparation for the growth coming over the next 2 weeks before flip to flower.
Did have a magnesium deficiency or the start of one which I seem to have saved. Used a Micro Nutrient booster GLIOGROW which bounced them right back.
Installed a new trellis net into the tent this week. Helping me keep the canopy at an even height. Initially I wanted to try and train the plant to have a single cola growing through each square. Thinking about this more I didn't want to compromise too much on quantity of bud produced. So I am not on a mission to completely fill the trellis net with a canopy from all 4 plants. I want to flip to flower at the end of this week if growth goes as well as it has so far.
Been dealing with a micro nutrient deficiency this pas week. Looks like magnesium has been my main concern, bumping up the feeding amounts and supplementing with micro boosters (GlioGrow and GlioMax) No more deficencies showing on the new growth so I am happy to say we have powered through the issue. Will be flipping the tent this weekend. The exciting part 😁
