The back-up plan

northernMike Always good to have a back-up plan😏.. This seed was sown at the same time as the Amnesia auto that didn't make it. So that makes it seven days old today. The feed is 30mls with seed and root mixed at 1/5 the rec. amount every second day, I will up the amount as the week progresses and probably transplant towards the end of the week. Then I'll set-up a regular schedule for feeding once I decide which nutes to use. I grew one of these plants not that long ago and really enjoyed the smoke, it was one one that I liked to puff on after supper or in the evening, nice and mellow.. The light for this grow is the Unit Farm UF 4000, this light draws 400 watts from the wall, has removable drivers and is adjustable by hanging height only, no dimmer. I.R and U.V are included in the full spectrum light which is the perfect size for a 4x4' tent, I'm able to keep the tent at 27c and 70% humidity. Later I'll remove the drivers and see how much of a difference it makes in controlling the temp. Just like to say thanks to Justin at Unit Farm for giving me the opportunity to test this light, so far so good!!!👌 Smok'em if you got'em😎..

northernMike Easy week, plants didn't even notice that they were transplanted, took it in stride even though I changed the feed at the same time. Switched to Big Cannahuna Grow, mixed at 1/2 the rec. amount(2.5ml/gallon) for now and I'll up the amount as the plants get a bit bigger. I'm keeping the light (UF 4000 from Unit Farm) at approx. 40'' from the top of the plants, the plants are super happy and not stretching to much. This light uses 400 watts, has two removable drivers and is adjustable by height only, no dimmer knob, it's just plug and play, simple!! Not much else going on at the moment so stay tuned, see you in a week!!

northernMike This just proves that you always need a back-up plan which turned into a healthy happy plant. I'm going to leave this one alone, just some slight training and defoliation and hope for a big beautiful purple main cola😑..I've been raising the light(UF 4000) slightly every other day to keep the distance to the canopy around 40 inches, seems to be the sweet spot without to much stretch. I'm able to keep the tent at 26c and 55% RH with the drivers still attached to the light and a fan blowing a slight breeze across the the top. This light seems to cover the 4x4 well, the Unit Farm UF 4000, plug and play, very simple, the plants like the spectrum and are very happy!!! Thanks for stopping by, see you in a week👊👊..

northernMike This plant is growing fast and starting to show some purple on the leafs and in the flower itself. I haven't done anything to this plant except to pluck a leaf or two, it stretched a bit more than the other two so far, but I think she's slowing down and concentrating more on flowering, so I'm hoping for that big beautiful purple main cola, we'll see.. The light( UF 4000) is approx. 36'' above this plant, seems to be the sweet spot, she's staying happy and healthy and drinking up a liter of water with or without food everyday. northernMike This is a weird little plant, it didn't do much stretching at all and the side branches didn't grow or catch up with the rest of the plant. It still seems healthy with a beautiful purple colour. Keeping the light approx. 40 inches from this plant, if I get any closer the leafs start to curl and shy away from the light. I've only been feeding once a week because she just doesn't drink very much. The only thing I've done to this plant is to remove a few leafs, that's it. 0 training, no topping, should end up with 3 large buds and a few smaller ones. I guess you can't get a huge harvest everytime, but you know what they say, DYNOMITE COMES IN SMALL PACKAGES💪😋.. The light, UF 4000 supplied by Unit farm- 400 watts, plug and play, adjustable by height only, no dimmer. So far I'm really liking this light👍👍..Just took a bit of getting used to as it is quite powerful and very bright. The seed is from Canuk seeds- Purple Kush auto.

northernMike Easy week, no trimming, no training, this plant is drinking 1L every other day with or without food. The purple colour is really coming out now and the smell is off the charts. The buds are getting bigger and more dense every day, they are building a nice layer of frost and getting super sticky. I won't get a monster harvest, that's for sure, but what's there looks real good👌.. Thanks for stopping by👊.. Took a little bit to find the sweet spot with this light, the plants let you know right away if the light is to close or to far away and you can adjust accordingly. This is my first grow with this light and I'm liking it so far, the light covers the 4x4 tent well and the plants are happy underneath it..

It kind of grew funny right from day 1, but it came back and is going to produce a very nice main cola with a few med-lrg buds from the only two side branches. Gotta love the PURPLE!!! The smell is off the charts kind of sour with a sweet and floral undertone. Should be a couple more weeks and it will be time to chop this girl as she is a little further ahead than the other two, so another week of finish and then water until the end. northernMike Plain water for this plant for the next week, she's just about ready to harvest. She's very sticky and very smelly, but in a good way with that real strong kush smell, makes you want to take a bite!!! This plant grew a little strange right from the beginning, it just didn't want to branch out at all. So I have a nice main cola and a few med sized nugs with a super dark purple colour to them, very nice!!! I've kept the light(UF 4000) approx. 40 inches from the top of this plant for the entire grow and that seemed to be the sweet spot in the 4x4 tent. I'm quite happy with this light so far and I think that I can do better the next run as this was my first time using this light. Big shout out to Justin from Unit Farm for letting me experiment with this light and I'm sure the next run will be a little bit better, so stay tuned... northernMike One more watering( small flush) for this plant and it'll be time to chop, should be very easy as there are hardly any leafs. It grew funny and stayed kind of small,but it has a beautiful purple colour, has thick layer of frost and the smell is off the charts, kind of clears the sinuses. Should be a good one, just not alot of it, but that's O.K cause you know what they say?😏... Hope all is well, Smok'em if you Got'em!!! northernMike This plant was a little stunted right from day one and stayed a bit on the small side. The roots only went about a third of the way to the bottom of the pot, looked like the tap root hit something and stopped growing. Other than that the plant had super dark sugar coated buds, just beautiful, with a super strong smell that is kind of sweet with sour undertones that kind of take your breath away. I trimmed this plant while it was still in the pot, took about twenty minutes with a puff break about half way through😉. I chopped the whole plant and hung it in the tent with a wet weight of 106 grams, I'm hoping for an ounce but I think that's a stretch, so we'll see. Big shout out to Justin at Unit Farm for letting me experiment with this light (UF 4000), took a bit to get used to, but I think I've got it figured out. It was my first time using this light, it seems very bright and powerful, fills the 4x4 tent with light from corner to corner and the plants really seem to like it. I think I just have to keep it a little higher than rec.( 36-40 inches above the canopy) just to get a little stretch so the plant will get a bit larger instead of staying so short and compact. Always an experiment when your growing auto's, next experiment coming up shortly😃, can't wait!!
