Humble_Lion Scrog is filling up nicely, first hail net in place. Top dressing with wormcastings and a homemade mix of dried up herbs in hope to incrase plant health and terpen development during flower. Planting basil as companion plant and in hope to raise the terpenlevel as well.
Seeding out clover as a cover crop.
Plants are ready to transition into flowering.

Humble_Lion Preflower kicking in. Hailnets come in handy the first time. Have to come up with a solution for the wind exposed plants because of the dense canopy they tend to fall over during the summer storms.
Humble_Lion After a super dry and hot summer some rainy and cold weather showed up. Adding some hardly missed moisture to the whole garden. 2y2 almost ready for harvest day.

Humble_Lion Last day for 2y2. Ready to cut by the end of the next night. Seemed to be a early time for harvest to me but the moon sign was about right and the trichomes turned already into amber. As grown from bonus seeds i am happy with the outcome but the strain might react better with other grow methods… seems like i overdid it with the size of the scrog on this one. To many colas wich resulted in smaller buts than maybe possible with this strain.
Humble_Lion Tuff week. Rain and cold temperatures all week long after a very dry and hot summer. Plants are not used to this and i got worried about mold and rot. Coverd up the Gorilla because it was the most exposed. Should have done the same with the Sativas too because the Apricot and Lemon developed some bud rot during this time and conditions.
Humble_Lion Impressions from the last week of flower and the harvest.
Final week had luckily mild temperatures and alot of sun to provide. It all lined up nicely with the moon circle for a harvest right before full moon and it was time to take them down. The Gorilla Zkittlez could have gone a week longer i think so. But i prefer to cut indica dominant and potent plants anyway a little bit earlier. The cold and wet week before left some marks in term of bud rot. Most affected was the Apricot Candy followed by Supreme Lemon but like in maximum of five spots on each plant. Even fully matured Panama Red stayed clean from bud rot till the very end. Guess the resistance of the landrace plays a factor here. Due to the plastic hood i provided for the Gorilla Zkittlez it stayed free from bud rot and showed in general healty genetics. Will try to provide somekind of cover for all plants to reduce the risk of bud rot at the end when bad weather kicks in.
Top strain, smells super fruity, smooth smoke, great and balanced high- uplifting and relaxing but no couch lock, one of my favorite herbs so far!
The grow was easy and forgiving, held up well outdoor against mold by the end of flowering.

Humble_Lion easy and forgiving to grow, good yield, good resistance, thinking to grow it again next year
Humble_Lion Drying and trimming done after a good two weeks in the garage at an average temperature of 15 celsius and 60% humidity. Now the curing begins. First few puffs were sweet. But will wait up with the harvest and strain review until at least they have spend one month curing in the glas.
Humble_Lion The Plant grew strong and responded well to the training. It was the second biggest plant of the five with the gorilla skittlez being first. but yielded less than the a bit smaller panama red. the grow was with little troubles, just the wet cold second last week created maybe like five little spots of bud rot that i cuttet out in the final week.
Wonderful strain to grow and smoke. Like advertised the high just effects the mind in a beautiful way. You can smoke it all day and night if you like. Smells like bubblegum.
Humble_Lion I did not expect that yield i got from this plant while growing it, i expected less. It responded well to Scrog and the other training i did, and rewarded with beautiful buds. iI was surprised how "early" the plant was ready to harvest, given it is a 100% sativa with a long flowering period. By the time i took them down it was the plant that was at most ready.
I really like the high of this strain. Good daytime stuff, keeps you active but in a relaxed way. The plant itself was compared to some of the other ones less vigorous and developed less flowers wich resulted in way less yield. The heavy advertised smell of apricot candy was not there in my plant. After three months of curing you can smell it when smoked in my dry herb vaporiser a bit but just notes of it. A well experienced friend of mine grew out a seedling i passed him from me out and got the smell out of the plant better noticeable then me. But i would say like just a average smell.
Humble_Lion The plant grew not as vigorous as the other ones. Maybe the plant did not like this much training and stress. For sure it did not like cold end wet weather like in the second last week bevor harvest. After that i lost some colas to bud rot, this plant was affected the most in my grow.
Feels like a balanced body and mind high. No special taste. It's ok but that's all, i got it as bonus with my order.

Humble_Lion The plant grew vigorous but i probably overdid it with creating too many colas and that was why it could not develop bigger flowers... but also it was done mid september, the trychomes turned already amber so i cut it down... maybe if i would grow it the next time wich i don't see coming up to be honest i would let it grow quite naturally and see what happens. A seedling i gave away to a friend was topped only a couple of times and did not turned out way better. It even hermaphodited in the last couple of the crow cycle so he had to cut it down.
This grow is the first run with proper genetics and grown from seed. Before i had always clones from somewhere, some no name indica strain that i liked for many years but got really tired of it and wanted to experience different strains, flavors and reactions to the body and mind. Also used for the first time the scrog method in a grow. Always following the concept of growing biodynamic and trying to build a living soil with the aim to have a rich and flavorful product at the end. Of course still learning on daily basis and jet still far from perfection.
@jojoG2G, give thanks! oh yeah i enjoy those flowers every day and they still getting in the curing jars. opened the other day the second and final jar of gorilla skittlez and was blown away by the quality of the herb.
