Hello everybody.
My 1st report on this platform, hope it will be an interesting one.
This time I decided to grow 3 photos in my small and simple growbox.
Gorilla Zkittlez recommended itself as a great strain in the autoflower version. Since then I wanted to grow a photo version of this strain and here we are :)
Laughing Buddha was recommended to me by the growshop as a good sativa so I said ok let it be, sounds interesting.
The third seed is a gift of a grower. It's a landrace seed from the mountains of Georgia (not the US State of Georgia :D). Basically I have no info about this seed, it is regular of course, so it can be a waste of time. But nevertheless, I decided to give it a chance to grow into a beautiful stranger. Time will show.
Growing 3 plants in such a limited space requires a lot of attention and handling. My plans are combination or one of the following: LST, main lining, supper cropping, active defoliation.
I plan to give the plants 3-4 weeks of vegetation and then switch to flowering.
Grow will happen in 5 gal (~18 liter) growbags.
Soil will be mixed with vermiculite in ratio 10 to 1.
This time I want to grow on organic nutrients only, so I got myself GHE Pro Organic nutrients for veg and flower stages.
Current conditions in the growbox are around 25 C in day and about 18 in night. Humidity around 50%. With the coming of winter I will have to think about warming up the place since the growbox is located in a non heated part of the house. But I think I will figure something out.
So as of this hour Gorilla Zkittlez showed its root and was planted into a 400 cc cup.
Other 2 seeds showed their roots as well, I am just waiting a few hours to let them become a little longer.
Hope you will enjoy this rep
So, 8 days after germination, all seedlings are feeling fine.
Temperature is dropping slowly but I've added a 3rd old led lamp which added 3-4 C and now daily temperature is about 27-28 C.
Humidifier was turned on and currently showing values around 50%
Update about the growbag size - it is 3 gal each, around 11 liters. The bags are ready and I water them periodically to let the soil sink in order to add more soil before transplanting.
Newborns are growing, showing first real leaves.
Night temperature in the box is around 16 C. If I will see that temperature is dropping I will consider warming up the place with a heater during the night hours.
Humidity is unstable, I will connect the humidifier with the lamp timer so that it is off at night. Current range is from 30 at day and 99% at night. I want the humidity to be around 60-70%.
Laughing Buddha is slower then the rest, cotyledons became yellow. Other leaves looking good.
G. Zkittlez seems to be the healthiest plant so far.
Georgian Landrace is also doing good although its leaves are curling a bit, will see how they behave during the next week.
Thats all the news so far
Plants were transplanted on Sunday
Since then there was almost no progress. Actually, all plants received stress after the transplanting. My thought was that the grow lights are too intense and so I've decided to remove the lights and turn on an old LED light. Sorry for the purple pics, they are mainly for myself to track the progress.
Night temps are around 20-21, daytime 25-26. Humidity 55-70%.
During the last couple of days I can see progress in all 3 plants as the new leaves look OK and a growth is starting again.
