The photos tell one story but the truth is right here, so I orginally planned to have a purple face off betweed lsd-25 and mephisto purple nuggets, the orginal purple nuggets seed didnt sprout or do anything I still planted it and watered it but nah dud seed, I planted a back up and thats what we have, when the lsd-25 was about 3 days old one of those round lights fell directly onto it, it then grew weird shaped leaves and looked a bit wonky from that point. The second purple nuggets looked healthy from day 1 and is the focus of this diary. I did the transplant early with it as the box/small pots were for stealth reasons, so got the tent up and transplant done while she was days old.

Plants growing still not purple still no nuggets however looking fat and healthy stems and branches so far, looking forward to streeeeeeetch which must be this/next week really, gonna give a big trim in next few days, spotted a 9 finger fan which is pretty cool, I am so curious about the purple, Mephisto make out they isolated purple but I suppose it might just be late in flower on only the fan leaves :( I look at the grow diary by indie queen from 3 years ago and am jealous. Marry me Indie queen and teach me your purple. Update.... did a hair cut My question about the purple was a little ambigious however I should have maybe expanded on the question as what is bothering me is ive seen other grows of this strain and it seems there is a pheno which shows purple on the pre-flower, it seems like the truest shocking purple end results had this purple preflower so it seems my plant will maybe purple on the fans and later into flower and potentially more dark green buds with spots of purple, I dont really care enough to change my 24 hours light schedule and cause cold temps id rather let it ride out as my sett up is nice and simple. Appreciate the answers though "yes" was what I wanted to hear haha!

Do you think my purple nuggets will go purple?

If it is a purple phenotype then yes the pistils and calyxes should purple up during flower, purpling of the stems/stem fans can be caused by various stresses the main one being Molybdenum deficiency caused by low temperatures, some growers use this as a tool to add color.

Plant is offically flowering and had to recover from 16 hours darkness due to life events and now is on the bounce back, flowers look healthy although the initial orange I think mustt have been magnesium deficiency as the cal mag seems to have taken it away, kinda makes the bud look pretty cool at this point but still hoping to see more PURPS hahah the wait to find out is torture. To be fair either way im happy so far the plant looks pretty good to me. Its quite frustrating not being able to reply to the answers on my question, airflow/temps shouldnt be the issue as its mid winter here and same setup through summer didnt have this issue, fans and extraction are running fine, I will though just check the lights are at the correct distance just in case. I dont think "cal mag fixes everything" However I hadnt been adding cal mag this grow I had kinda forgot/thought it shouldnt be needed and this is one difference to my last grow where I added a small amount as standard each feed. When I researched these symptoms, particually the way the leaves look on the worst affected branch, it matches the magnesium deficiency I thought, and when I initially gave cal/mag for the first time this grow the browning seemed to improve/stop. It could be over feed but honestly id expect to see burning on the leaves. Anyway I had thought hermie previously and I cant find bananas but it is the thing that is worrying me most particually as its a present issue across my 3 plants to varying degrees, I will probably give them all a mist down and check again later for bananas as there is a chance with the two freebie seeds. Its my second ever grow so I know im gonna hit these kind of situations, but like I say there is a limit to what I can adjust, I didnt have this issue on last grow and as symptom showing on all 3 plants who are on different stages, feed schedules, with different light intesity due to positioning, I am a bit worried now a hermie is the logical answer. Will check and update. Yeah I checked all three plants, the more im looking at them the more its depressing me because I feel like it must be pollination and probably because of the inspection I had where the plants were in darkness for a day, can see how that could have triggered it, saying that I cant find any obvious male parts so I dunno what to do other than mist everything down and see what happens next week.

I am a bit worried about the early oranging of the flower pistols, I have adjusted cal mag should I continue as normal and put progression down to pre existing deficiency now showing down the road? Certain branches/budsites showing amber pistols in first couple of weeks of flower

Cal/mag is not the answer to everything and it has no affect on the pistils. The picture in your diary of the bud with browning pistils looks to me like a flower that has been pollinated more than anything else. Check thoroughly for male flowers/bananas.

pretty sure my plant is pollenated as I am finding a lot of swolled calex's on her neigbour, I will run through to harvest anyway as she is only a few weeks away and some sugar on her anyway so, im a bit down on the grow but putting it down to experience and see what happens. Pretty sure the stress of the darkness triggered this all but not really sure which plant hermied, it was either the nuggets, the freebie next door or both. Either way I will do an extract if the smoke turns out terrible and see what happens either way :) Oh I have included pics of the two freebies too, they are both 10 days behind the purps, just for your interest.

Actually feeling better about the grow now time has past, the orange pistol problem is less prominant with new white hairs everywhere, and im seeing enough sugar to feel happy with the result so far seeds or no seeds. Still no real purple but still mid flower, breader says 65-75 days and I can see myself going to the upper end of that and potentiallly beyond, I want to make sure she is properly finished as my last grow I had to rush the end a bit. I am having a bit of a feeding crisis though, last week my plan was to just give water to the end now as she got a big top feed 2 weeks ago and I was envisioning that seeing her through to flush/harvest but I will instead start giving food again starting next watering, as I want to maximise the chunk up over next few weeks. Any opinion/comment on my plants is welcome its my 2nd grow and im still learning. Thank you!

I am actually so happy, I didnt notice it visually looking at the plant but when I was checking the photos its clear there is purpling :D I was about to sue Mephisto for false advertisting but instead I want to kiss them. I got dem purpzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. Also it should be noted the plant looks and smells amazing at the moment its a really unique smell, am dedicated to giving this plant all the vip time and effort she need over next weeks and really excited about it. Update as plant is hitting breeders recommended harvest day 65-75 I cant see any amber trichs but I see more milky than earlier in the week, the purple shows a lot better but its still much clearer on the zoomed in photos compared to life, still clearly changing colours, went a bit yellow and some tips burned after the last feed but I think I will make it the actual last feed as a break from nutes this week seems a good idea anyway.

I think I went too heavy on the last feed and kinda kicking myself for it but even so the plant seems ok other than the burned tips and odd dead leaf. My phone is my best option for watching trichs at the moment and so the pics show what I know. I am saying they look mostly milky with some clear. I will will leave this plant as late as possible as there is no real need to rush her down, she smells quite unique when disturbed and I hope it translates to smoke, I think yield will be smaller than it first looks as pretty much everything on show is everything she has, there are some thick lower buds but also branches with just one golf ball sized head to it, to be fair everything she has done everything stated by the breeder, so I cant really fault it really and can imagine myself shouting "done" within the next 3 weeks. Update to say I went from 99% sure the plant was pollinated to 99.99% sure she/they are not, I have come to this conclusion because after the last feed the same middle plant had the same reaction again to all the white hairs turning brown from the tips and this time with more obvious nute burn on her leaves. I am obviously happy that this is the case as I was really down on getting all seeded weed and I did incorrectly mark that as an answer in my fit of dispair. The weed is not seeded and it was bloom nutes that caused it I know this as basically a fact now. I am not that happy to nute burn my plants (again) though however, I have done some work to spreead all the branches wide on all 3 plants and one freebie was basically unaffectted and looks fine bar one or two leaves, the freebie in question looks a bit fked but still alive and the purple nuggets was clearly affected by the nutes however now she is spread out there is more light getting to the lower more healthy looking parts of the plant and she seems kinda happy again now just based on general plant vibes im getting. that all being said I am waiting for amber trichs 10-20% before harvest and every day feels eternal but I am determind to stay patient and get this plant finished to how I want, so i'm not rushing! Added two new pics for this week and see how things go over next couple.

I think steaking the plant when I did has had a positive impact, I should have maybe done this sooner but I can see lower sites are gettting better exposure now and they are developing, it seems like she has produced more sugar and the damage from the last feed seems to have stopped. I think I know what I did wrong and gave feed a week early but ill be more careful now with the newer plants. Love the colour on the flowers and hopefully this week/next week ill get to a position of harvest. Peace.

I had a bit of an issue with the plant tail end of week 11 I spotted a brown section of flower, I took it off and checked the full plant over and ended taking quite a bit of material off. The brown was actually quite minimal on closer inspection so I felt lucky to notice early but also its a bit of a sad way for this grow to come to an end, I also stripped some parts of the plant which I was worried might cause issues if left on and I hope there is enough left in her to finish off what is left over the next few days. It was only certain branches and a lot of what I took of was to be on the safe side, had a lot going on close together so I figured sacrifce some smaller growth and let the bigger branches breathe for the last little bit. In general I would have prefered the plant to stay healthier but I just have to suck up the feed error and live and learn on it. Overall pretty happy :) Update - after 5 days drying the flower I took off has dried enough to be smokable (ish), there was 4.5g of bud which had been affected by the "brown slime issue", this is what is left after I cut off and discarded anything hard/brown and is "smokable" but has a bit of an off smell and the buds are very airy. Im just gonna stick this in its own small jar and save for a rainy day. There was also 7.2g of unaffected bud which was removed as precaution. Its still a bit airy but not nearly as badly, there are couple of nice sized buds which feel pretty dense. It generally has a better colour and smell. Hoping the bud structure has improved on the rest of the plant and she seems fairy happy all things considering. I might go to day 90 with her but I am quite keen to get down too incase any more bud issues develop. It may turn out there being more damage when I finally fully harvest but there is nothing too obvious so far so I am hopeful.

So I was a bit worried about the plant after the patch of brown I found and I discovered another little patch so I decided to chop, After I chopped I realised there had been a break in the stem at some point so likely the issues related to that. Will dry for 10+ days is the plan and will update as and when. Peace. Been drying for a week, shiftted to a paper bag for the next few days before jars I still havnt weighed properly but I think I have about 70g, about 10-12g of buds had budrot so final weight is gonna just be what survived. I think I lost about 1oz in total to budrod which is a shame obviously but what has survived looks really nice and I have a good couple of oz so not a total disaster, My plan is to let this cure properly and keep on a top shelf while I smoke other strains so might be a while for a smoke report. 9 days drying and the stems were snapping and buds feeling dry so I went to jar, in burp mode for a while and this stuff I will keep until last to use, and aim to have some curing for spring/summer use, it might not make it tthat far, all things considered but I might update here with a final bud so its all on record. Focus goes to 3wok grow :)
