Second week in the compost. Growing like crazy but you can see what seems to be nutrient burn on the tips. A little leaf curling as well : ( Not fretting it too much since the plants seem healthy other than that. Purified water and no nutes until the burn ceases.
Still dealing with some nutrient burn, most likely too much Nitrogen , but they are growing like crazy. Can't believe how much they have grown in the last 2 weeks from when they were small clones. I only added GH Calmag and Mammoth Micros to not add anymore Nitrogen to the mix. Feel probably be light on nutes until the burnt tips subside or the plant calls for more NPK.
Still experiencing some nute burn but decided to throw in some cal mag and mammoth for safety. They are growing like crazy. Busy and full of tops. Think I may lollipop and scrog these.
Repotted the plants in plastic containers between 4-5 gallons each. Haven't seen much difference in phenotype. New medium is part Fox Farm Happy Frog/part my own compost mix, with some extra perlite added to make the mix more airier.
This is my first post in a long time. Over the last month I have added 2x 300w LEDs (cheap ones so its probably 150-200w) bringing my wattage to around 1100-1200w. Since my light isn't concentrating i am losing some energy that the plants need to bulk up buds, that being said their has been significant growth in the 5 weeks since flip to 12/12.
This plant is really resilient. Withstood a overly hot summer, a move, and cold temps. Wish i would have gotten clones. Has bulked up a lot in the last 3 weeks, smell has begun to get over powering. Thinking about a week of molasses and water then a week of straight water before chop.
Watered twice this week with water only. The cold weather plus the uptake of remaining nutrients in the soil makes the trichomes very large, making for some nice pics.
They were clones and i was told the strain was Purple Train Wreck x Goo. I have never experienced Goo, but the dry mouth is a classic trait of Trainwreck and there were some purple on the buds. The smells is sugary like a subtle but robust caramel.
Big dense buds. very sticky. I was able to get a decent amount of hash from the cutting utensils. I hung the plants with the leaves on then 3 days afterwards trimmed.
