Soaking the seed until pops in Canna Rhizotonic.
Then plant in Canna Coco Pro Plus with Perlite 70/30 mix pre-soaked with a weak Canna Coco a&b feed and Rhizotonic @4ml/L.
Then left under the lights keeping an eye on humidity and temperature. Adding domes if humidity needs raising.
Fertigating once I've seen the first true leaves with Canna Coco a&b @ 2ml/l and Rhizotonic @ 4ml/l.
She's coming along great the intermodal distance looks tight and seems to be taking the feed well.
Although planted a week behind the rest she is catching them up!💪
Accidently got feeds mixed up between grow and veg tent, scorched and locked them out of calcium by the looks of the brown spots that appeared on leaves under the light. Flushed and rebalanced the ph etc... But they didn't like the soaking. Nor are they enjoying the cold weather we are experiencing. Growth has almost stalled.
All going good now, she put on a spurt of growth this week. I tried to get the side branches from out under the canopy with a bit of leaf tucking and tying. Once I did they shot up joined the main stem. At the beginning of this week I started with LST with a bit of tying down and also defoliated, but mainly the damaged leaves from the feeding mishap.
Towards the end of the 3rd week I moved her into the flowering room under the LEDs which seems to have helped.
Plant put on plenty of growth this week. Sorted out the calcium issues from what I believed was a feed mishap but now think it's the bag of Canna Coco Pro Plus not being buffered correctly. All the plants that have been planted from this bag of Coco have experienced the same calcium deficiency problems. There's no way I screwed up all the feeds, and even seedlings are now experiencing the same problems. Adding extra cal mag between 0.5ml/l to 1ml/l seems to help.
The only problem is the extra cal mag raises EC a lot and therefore makes it harder to increase feeds and supplements without getting into crazy EC numbers and burning the plants.
Lots of bushy growth with big broad leaves. Started flowering hard with fat stumpy flowers with loads of pistils.
There is already a fair amount of frost starting to cover the sugar leaves and even the fan leaves.
Unfortunately I don't expect a great yield as this is a very small plant. In future I will increase planting density to compensate if I decide to grow this strain again.
