RedFaceDuck This is my first grow ever, and my first time ever planting anything. I did my research and decided to go with hydroponics.
I am starting with 2 regular seeds of Purple Haze x Malawi.
I started my seeds in a glass of water for about 18 hours until they sunk in the water then I moved them to the paper towel method until about 2 cm of root sprouted. and lastly I moved it to the rapid rooter sponges.
I hope all goes well.

RedFaceDuck First week has been a rollercoaster of emotions, since this is my first grow, i am having multiple issues, one day it looks good the other it is not, but i think i solved most of them.
First problem was ph, I keep adjusting the ph as it fluctuates a lot, in the photos the plants are showing yellowing leaves, it was because of high ph levels, i adjusted it, and the plant continued growing nicely i guess.
Second is water temperature, it was very high, ranging at 25-28c , so i got a small chiller and cooled it down to 18c.
Third was light, it was low so they stretched a lot, i fixed it the next day, and added sticks to support them
I am going to change the water this week, also increasing the nutrient ppm
RedFaceDuck Second plant continued to show deficiencies so i flushed it for two days and then started adding nutrients gradually, it started getting better and sprouted new roots which is a good sign.
I toped the two plants at the 5th node, now i will let them grow a little more then start LST.

RedFaceDuck Plant #2 is getting back to health, and the other one is doing great.
I increased the nutrients this week as well as the light intensity.
I also started lst on the healthy plant. And mext week will be the other plant turn after it is better

RedFaceDuck There was a lot of growth in the last week, i did some LST until they were long enough to start scroging,
i installed the scrog net, and spread the plant through it, i’ll give it another week or two of growth before changing to flowering.

RedFaceDuck stretch has slowed down a lot, which is good, it has tripled in size and is showing its true sativa and landrace traits, I am happy with how it is going so far, the plant looks happy with the nutrients I am giving and is not showing any deficiencies.
I had to remove so much more leaves as I couldn't get the humidity to drop, even with a dehumidifier, last photo shows the plant right after the defoliation, looks in shock, but it will get better.

RedFaceDuck It has been going smoothly the last couple of weeks, the plant stoped stretching and is just getting thicker and stickier, still needs at least 4 weeks to finish, i can’t wait

RedFaceDuck Getting closer, still not done
There are still a lot of not ready pistils, and trichomes are still mostly clear.
Looks like it may need another month or so. Its taking for ever
@Hydro_Hiebs, thanks, it wasn’t easy, and since it was my first grow i didnt know it would take this long lol, didnt read much about the strain and was overwhelmed by the choices available, so just picked what was in-front of me and landed this beauty.
Hope it goes well to the end just a couple more months of flower to go 😅
How did the harvest go dude? How was the smoke? I think you vegged about 4-5 weeks too long at the start btw, these tropical sativas can be sent into flower after 2-3 weeks of veg which really cuts down on your time to harvest and helps manage the height 👍
