Seed sprouted in only a couple of days. It grew really fast, but I noticed stretching issue, most likely due to LED lights with a lot of red light spectrum. I improvised and attached some more soil around the stem to prevent it from flopping over.

As it grew larger first true leaves, its leaf surface enabled it to grow faster each day. Stem started getting thicker as well. The rooting ball I used to fix the etiolation issue right after germination showed no root growth. As soon as they appear, I intend to pot it up into larger container.

Seedling increased in size and started showing some leaf drooping during the last hours of light period. I increased the distance between light fixture and the seedling to prevent potential leaf burn. Around the end of the second week, leaves started yellowing a little bit. On D19, I planted it into larger pot to solve all the possible issues.

During the second week, leaves started to look a little bit yellow. The first true leaves yellowed way too soon. I'm guessing lack of nutrients. It never showed signs of drought or overwater stress. Your thoughts? I planted it into larger 2.5 liter container now.

Yep, she hungry. Find some good food for it with a nice NPK ratio. Since it's in veg, you'll want something with a nice amount of nitrogen(N), some phosphorus(P), and a nice amount of potassium(K). Something that's 4-4-4 works pretty good. Or, nitrogen heavy, like 6-2-4. You could even get 4-4-4 and add extra nitrogen. There are companies that make CalMag+, which is 2-0-0 mixture of calcium and magnesium. Mixing that and 4-4-4 together will do vegging plants some good. During the 3rd week, I topped it and forced it to grow 4 branches, which I ties down to the soil to keep them grow horizontally.

Any of the gurus of LST, main lining and other grow techiques willing to share an idea how to further improve the plants behavior. 🙂 I intend to further remove branches and leave only one at each of the nodes where there are two, make the canopy wide and airy. +root cut branches

LST is the best way to train plants, in my opinion. You don't need to trim any branches off, you just train them in different directions. Keep up with defoliating shade(fan) leaves that cover branch/bud nodes and the branches that you're training will start throwing a Lot of side branches. it's really easy to basically sculpt your plant to look like you scrogged it, without using a scrog net/trellis. This week, I noticed it has grown roots all over the substrate again. I pinned branches down and it got quite nice form already. It's nkt far away from being ready to start the flowering phase.
