During the 3rd week, I topped it and forced it to grow 4 branches, which I ties down to the soil to keep them grow horizontally.

Grow Questions

During the second week, leaves started to look a little bit yellow. The first true leaves yellowed way too soon. I'm guessing lack of nutrients. It never showed signs of drought or overwater stress. Your thoughts? I planted it into larger 2.5 liter container now.

Yep, she hungry. Find some good food for it with a nice NPK ratio. Since it's in veg, you'll want something with a nice amount of nitrogen(N), some phosphorus(P), and a nice amount of potassium(K). Something that's 4-4-4 works pretty good. Or, nitrogen heavy, like 6-2-4. You could even get 4-4-4 and add extra nitrogen. There are companies that make CalMag+, which is 2-0-0 mixture of calcium and magnesium. Mixing that and 4-4-4 together will do vegging plants some good. Any of the gurus of LST, main lining and other grow techiques willing to share an idea how to further improve the plants behavior. 🙂 I intend to further remove branches and leave only one at each of the nodes where there are two, make the canopy wide and airy. +root cut branches

LST is the best way to train plants, in my opinion. You don't need to trim any branches off, you just train them in different directions. Keep up with defoliating shade(fan) leaves that cover branch/bud nodes and the branches that you're training will start throwing a Lot of side branches. it's really easy to basically sculpt your plant to look like you scrogged it, without using a scrog net/trellis.
