~ Germination ~ Strain: Cinderella Jack (auto) by Dutch Passion Number of seeds: 2 pcs. Location: Indoor Time: 04 January 2023 - Lamp: MIGRO Aray 4 Power (Watts): 240 W Area: 80 x 120 cm I've heard many favorable opinions about this strain - it's said to have the highest THC % of any currently available on the market (up to 27 %). So that's something for me! And we'll soon find out how true that is ;) 2 (two) seeds were sown directly into the substrate, which was coir pellets. Every day they were moistened with a little water (about 10 ml each). The room temperature was 23°C. Both sprouted in a week. NOTE: I just got a new lighting - MIGRO Aray 4 - so this will also be a test of these lamps for me. There will be two other strains in the room (besides 'Cinderella') - one Mokum's Tulip and three Purple Punch OG. Six plants in total - all autos. Their arrangement will be permanent, i think - Dutch Passion on the right (with Mokum's Tulip in the middle) and SSSC on the left. As the picture shows.

1st week : Immediately after sprouting, the seedlings were transplanted into the target 20-liter breathable pots. The substrate was a half and half mixture of peat soil and coconut fiber with a small addition of perlite. Starting from seedlings, throughout the vegetative phase, the plants will be well nourished with HESI nutrients every third day : · Root Complex - 5 ml / 1 l of water · TNT Complex - 5 ml / 1 l of water · SuperVit - 1 drop / 5 l of water The room temperature was set at 26°C in light and 20°C in darkness. Lamps hung at a height of 35 cm above the plants and set to 20% power for now. Most likely i won't be using any 'techniques' - i just want to check how my new LEDs work, learn them well and shoot few nice photos. Besides - the plants are auto-flowers, so even for this reason no 'techniques' are likely to come into play. And very well - harvest will be earlier.

~ 2nd week ~ At the begining of this week the plants were about 7 cm tall and have a developed first floor of true leaves. At the end of the week, they already have a second layer of leaves quite developed. The span of the lower leaves is more than 15 cm. The lamps are still hanging 35 cm above the plants, but i turned up their power to 40%. The plants look nice and healthy. So far, everything's going smoothly.

~ 3rd week ~ At the beginning of the week, the plants are 10 cm tall and have a developed second layer of leaves. Side branches form at the nodes. At the end of the week, they are 12 cm tall, 25-30 cm in diameter and have a third layer of leaves developed. The space between nodes is 1 cm. I increased the power of the lamps to 60%. All look nice and healthy.

~ 4th week ~ At the beginning of the week the plants are 13 cm tall and over 35 cm in diameter. They started to develop fifth layer of leaves. The lower leaves became huge, almost like chestnut leaves. The main trunk is as thick as a pencil. It's not very clear in the photos, but the side branches are 5cm long, and the space between nodes is 1,5 cm. At the end of the week, i sprayed the plants with a neem oil solution. I always do it (once a month) during each crop prophylactically - since i had a sad experience with a spider mites some time ago. Once the plants are in the flowering phase, i won't be spraying them any more - that would be bad to the taste of smoke. Instead, i'll use the Neoseiulus Californicus (beneficial mite). The plants look magnificent - you can see that they lack nothing. And that's most important. Keep it up.

~ 5th week ~ At the beginning of the week, the plants are about 20 cm tall (after pruning the tallest plant). The lowest branches are also 20 cm long, so they are already visible from under the leaves covering them until now. At the end of the week, the plants are 30 cm tall. The first signs of flowering are visible - hairs appear on the nodes and a subtle scent begins to be felt. Plants look very nice and healthy. I increased the power of the lamps to 100 %.

~ 6th week ~ Plants vary in height - CJ#1 is 40cm tall, and CJ#2 is 35cm tall. Most plants enter the flowering phase very quickly - they stretch out to the light and hairs appear on them in large numbers. CJ#2 is clearly lagging behind the others and is not showing any flowering symptoms yet - as if she's not autoflower (or is she?). The plants are more thirsty now, so i increased the watering frequency to every second day. They look very nice, fresh and healthy. Things are picking up speed and it's starting to get interesting.

~ 7th week ~ Both plants are blooming finally. I used Neoseiulus Californicus - a beneficial mite that fights spider mites (among others) and similar nasty things. Just in case. I hung the preparation on the tallest plant - one small bag is enough for the entire crop (such as this one). I also started to use HESI nutrients for the flowering phase: · Bloom Complex ➝ 5ml / 1l of water · Phosphorus Plus ➝ 3ml / 1l of water · SuperVit ➝ 1 drop / 5l of water (twice a week) also: · PowerZyme ➝ 2ml / 1l of water · Boost ➝ 2ml / 1l of water (every second week) CJ#1 needs the most water - she drinks twice as much as any other plant. Her thirst is manifested by slightly limp leaves. In addition, i can feel it by the weight of the pots - it is twice as light as the others. I have to feed her more often - surprisingly, because she is not very large - other larger ones do not drink so much. She is half a meter tall. CJ#2 is 35 cm tall and is the shortest plant in the entire crop (so far), also the last to bloom.

~ 8th week ~ I did a little rearrangement in the grow room : I set the plants by height - two tallest in the back, two medium in the middle and two shortest in the front (as seen in the picture). Thanks to this, i can now easily adjust the height of the lamps according to the height of the plants - so that they are all evenly and well lit. And they are now more visible in the photos - they do not cover each other. CJ#1 is 53 cm tall and gaining mass quickly. CJ#2 has surpassed the MT so she's no longer the lowest in this crop. She's 46 cm tall. All plants are now very thirsty, so they are watered daily - half a liter per plant. They look healthy and bloom beautifully, giving off an intense fruity fragrance.

~ 9th week ~ Plants mature - some faster, some slower, but it happens. Both Cinderellas look very interesting - the side branches match the length up to the top, so that the plants look like birds with outstretched wings for flight. CJ#1 is more developed than CJ#2 as it flowered much earlier. But CJ#2 catches up to her quickly. Both have plenty of dense buds. Smells like in exotic garden. No wonder - so it is :)

~ 10th week ~ Both Cinderellas have a similar shape and color, as well as abundance and density of buds. They are clearly from the same litter (same phenotype). CJ#1 is 66 cm tall. CJ#2 is a bit younger as it bloomed a week later. She's 60 cm tall. The leaves are no longer dark green and become more olive with yellow tips. In turn, the buds shimmer in light with all colors of rainbow and gleam with resin. If their effect will be like appearance ... Next week - flushing.

~ 11th week ~ Cinderellas mature - slowly and thoroughly. The leaves have faded a bit but not yellowed - they are still intensely green. The buds have a slightly pink (heather) tint, in the light - a rainbow, and most of the hairs are dark orange. They are massive and full of resin. Harvest soon.

~ 12th week (Before Harvest) ~ This week there was no more fertilization and very little watering. I expected a harvest, but from what i see, it won't be until next week. Cinderellas - although already mature - still develop. The buds are still getting bigger and the resin builds day by day. It would be a shame to cut now when i can get much more in a week. And i'm in no hurry ;)

Week 13. Harvest

Happy Harvest Day!

Plants were easy to grow and totally hassle-free. Very strong & compact plants. The buds are impressive in size - big, thick, massive, densely packed, dripping with resin. When smoked, marijuana has an earthy-birch smell and taste, slightly sour. It has a pleasantly stimulating effect at first. But after the second puff, it already slows down the thoughts a bit, and after the third one, it puts you into deep meditation. Strong stuff, although not as i expected. Nevertheless i like it. It was very pleasant to cultivate and even more to consume.

~ 13th week - HARVEST ~ The plants lasted another week. I did as the Dutch Passion guy suggested and plucked all the larger leaves. Although Cinderellas are not impressive in size, their buds are - big, thick, massive, densely packed, dripping with resin. They have a lilac shade, and in the right lighting they shimmer with all the colors of the rainbow. Probably the best time to harvest. On a full moon, they were cut off just above the ground and hung whole in a secluded, dark, well-ventilated room at 18°C. They will hang there until they dry - probably by the end of the month. Then i'll weigh, smoke, and review.

Indeed, she can take another week or so, maybe 1,5 max. A tip to do now is take away the big leaves, so the light can shine through the bottom parts of the plant as well, making those buds harder and more potent. Keep it up and enjoy your harvest soon! 😎

This is really fantastic looking. Nice job on the train and trim, the overhead view looks so round and uniform. Those colas are huge with lots of sugar. And the high contrast photography is killer. Congrats and keep up the good work.

@amadeo, that was very interesting, and aligns somewhat with another hobby of mine, where I have to actually do the math to calculate the specular highlight contributions of digital imagery. It can look very wrong very quick, even when correct. Sometimes we have to cheat a little :) Thanks so much for the detailed response!

Thanks again @@resimax, Yes, i think you're right - the genetics are certainly exquisite, and my new lamps really exceed my expectations :) Regarding photography - sure, i can reveal a secret: Firstly - as in the case of cultivation, it is largely thanks to good equipment and conditions. In my case it is the good old and popular Nikon p500. And the conditions must be created - by hanging a dark material (canvas) in the room (studio) - preferably black, because it eliminates undesirable shadows created during the flash. It is also necessary to provide adequate (good) lighting (i mean ordinary lamps) so that the details can be clearly seen. Cause the best shots come out without flash at all. Flash causes light reflections and flattens perspective. Personally, i use flash quite rarely - only sometimes to emphasize the trichomes (if any). Secondly - playing with aperture and shutter speed. In my case, it's more experimentation and improvisation, because i'm not a professional and often i don't know what effect i'll get. It's just - when i get high, i snap pictures until the battery runs out, then watch them on the computer and choose the best ones (every tenth more or less) to publish here in my diaries. Oh, and the whole secret. All the best!
