Starting to dial back the nutrients a little. Will be dropping the ec 0.1-0.2 every other water. Flushed with pure RO today. Did a major defoliation this past week, taking off any fan leaves with a stem greater than 2 inches. I prefer to hand water, but since I'll be out of town for the next 4 days, I had set up the automated irrigation. I have it set to keep them damp with no runoff (less than .5 gals/day per plant). A little over 3 weeks to harvest!
@JUNGLE_B4RNS, you've clearly been doing some sciencing. ;-)
Updated my nutes above. During flower, I just run a ratio of 4:3:0.5 and add RO until it's at the EC I want. If more PK is needed I just go to 4:3:1. I do a flush every 10 days.
I start dialing down around .2 EC a day around day 49 until I'm running straight RO for the last 5/7 days. Obviously this is just perfect world, and sometimes need to adjust accordingly those last two weeks based on what the girls are asking for.
@Willy_Wonka24,alright ! I do a flush last week of Veg , flushing them at the lowest right level , otherwise when they go and get that Nitrogen for the stretch (whatever the amount of salt in the media) if the media is to salty ( hypertonic conditions) the cells release their water to return the system to an isotonic condition (to get the same amount of salt on both sides of the cells), and instead of water flowing from the root to the fruit the process reverse and the roots actually start draining the plant, has the leaves edges and tips are the furthest away from the root this is why they start to burn , instead of sweating they reverse the flow has the same rate .
P.S: Same when they need PK for the flowers
@TheFairyBudMother, they are great. Easy to move pots around and no string to have to cut. They get in the way when I chop for harvest, but not a huge deal.
@JUNGLE_B4RNS, I was at 2.5 last week, so backing off to 2.3. And will tweek in the next few weeks. I had some Cherry Pie a few grows back that consistently took 2.4 during flower weeks 2-6.
