This caused too much stretching and the SF-1000 needs to be closer/higher power than the manual indicates when running two plants.

Day 8 - 24 carat looking good, but the Grappa looks to have symptoms of over-watering so it will be left to dry out for 24-48 hours Day 9 - both showing signs of either overwatering or light burn. Raised lights, won't water today. Added DIY CO2 to the tent because I was bored, doubt it will make much of a difference but an increase in CO2 could help if the light is still a bit much. Day 10 - no significant change to plants after 24 hours. Day 11 - Growth looks good, 2L water (50/50 tap/ro) Day 12 - Not much to report, growth looks fantastic day to day Day 13 - Still healthy. 24 carat is noticeably larger than Grappa, but that's expected as 24 carat has a shorter cycle. Interested to see if it ends up taking over the tent as time goes on. Day 14 - Two week mark! Started LST with some clips, watered 3L each (50/50 ro/tap) and upped light to 70%. May have a pest issue starting as per pics.

Day 15 - 24 Carat is doing super well, but two leaves showing signs of leaf miner activity. Got some Safer's Insecticidal Soap (organic safe) and will try it this evening. Grappa seems to have dodged out of the LST clip, might re-do LST tonight with wires and save the clips for when the plants are bigger. Picture quality off the wyze cam has gone to hell since turning the light up to 70%, might have to adjust height. Day 16 - I have decided I hate LST clips. Both plants managed to shake them off and the Grappa lost a node to it. Tied the Grappa down, will likely do the same with the 24 Carat later this evening. Not happy with the clips at all, will save them for later in the grow when there's nothing to tie down to (to open up the middle of the plant). Also raised the light up a bit and set to 70%. Last, Grappa is showing some signs of overwatering or possibly Nitrogen toxicity. Will make sure it dries out completely before watering again. Day 17 - Redid LST after the last update, will need to be pretty aggressive with the 24 carat as it is growing so quickly it's smothering out its own nodes with gigantic, healthy fan leaves. Grappa continues to struggle and seems to need less water in general. I think I'm going to have to turn the grow lights down a ton before taking the pictures moving forward, it's getting so washed out and artifacted I can barely tell what's what. Day 18 - More LST and a ton of leaf tucking. 2L of RO in each pot. Killed an inchworm that was nibbling at the 24 carat, going to have to pick up some BT. That's what I get for reusing outside soil. Day 19 - More leaf tucking, Grappa continues to look a little dark but otherwise both plants seem to be thriving with good growth. Day 20 - nothing to report. Growth looks healthy. 2L tap in each. Turned tent fan down slightly, exhaust fan stays the same. Day 21 - 3 weeks from sprout and I'm seeing the very first signs of preflower on the grappa. Little bit of N toxicity signs too, too heavy on the Gaia and mixed the soil too hot. Good to know for next time.

Day 22 - preflower on both plants, more leaf tucking to give the stems more space to break through as both these plants seem to be very bushy. Day 23 - Grappa really responded great to the big LST. 24 Carat is so bushy I've had to leaf tuck twice since yesterday's post just to let the nodes get through the massive fan leaves. Light is now set to 80%. Will be watering tonight, 2L tap in each. Day 24 - Nothing much to report today Day 25 - Grappa *loves* the LST and is starting to fill back in really nicely. 24 Carat laughs in the face of LST and needs leaf tucking, defoliation and adjustment twice a day. Grappa also seems to be fully in flower as of today, the main top has a ton of pistils. 2L RO water in each pot today as they are starting to get real thirsty. Probably will be every other day now instead of every 3. Light is up to 90% and a second SF1000 is on the way to give the tent a boost for flower. Refreshed DIY CO2 as well. Day 26 - Did a little thinning on the Grappa and a *lot* on the 24 Carat. A few small fan leaves removed but mostly all the lower nodes. Moved the camera angle up for the daily photo as well to get a better picture of the real size of the plants. Day 27 - 2L tap in each, more leaf tucking Day 28 - Week 4 is in the bag, and the grappa is fully in flower. 24 carat is lagging behind, still pumping out leaf production with signs of preflower only.

Day 29 - An exciting day! Last week I messed around with the Photone app and realized I was starving the plants of photons with the little 100W SF-1000. So I did the natural thing and bought a second one, set everything up, dropped the height of the lights down to ~12" and dimmed both lights to ~60% which gave me a DLI of 45. This should maximize their light intake for flower. Also watered 4-5L each with tap water, resulted in about 1L of very dark tea-coloured runoff. Was planning to amend today with bloom, but will be adding that later this week as both plants are still looking like they're getting adequate nutes from the amended soil. Grappa is definitely fully in flower, 24 carat is lagging behind but looks like it's only a day or three away. Day 30 - Little bit of leaf tucking Day 31 - More leaf tucking & light defoliation Day 32 - Big time defoliation, bit of light lollipopping, some leaf tucking. Finally getting the bushiness under control with the 24 carat. Amended the soil with 1TBSP per G (5TBSP total) of Gaia Green 2-8-4 power bloom & watered it in with a gallon in each pot. Day 33 - 24 Carat is finally fully into flower. Little bit of leaf tucking. Day 34 - second guessing the 34 fully in flower comment. Watered 2L each with RO. Some light burn on the Grappa, moved lights farther away, DLI is now 40 instead of 45. Day 35 - leaf tucking

Day 36 - 3L RO in each pot. Think this will be the last RO watering as it looks like pH might be locking out K. More leaf tucking & defoliation on the 24 carat. Day 37 - Significant change at the top of each stem on the 24 Carat - it is now properly in flower. Can't believe how long this thing stayed in preflower. LST on a few of the branches that are bunched up with LST clips. Day 38 - Big day. Finally dealt with that K deficiency by adding Gaia Green Soluable Kelp. 1 tsp mixed into a gallon of water and fed evenly between the two plants. It won't save the leaves that turned brown, but it should significantly improve buds moving forward. May dose again next week as well. Some more LST adjusting with clips. Day 39 - Tons of defoliation on the 24 Carat and a big LST adjustment. Removed a few leaves on the Grappa as well. Day 40 - Absolutely massive defoliation. Took at least 30-40% of the lower leaves and larfy stems off both plants. Adjusted LST to more evenly space the 24 carat. 2L each tap water. Day 41 - Little bit of leaf tucking Day 42 - Watered with 3L RO

Day 43 - Looks like pH lockout maybe? I think I need to stop using RO and just run with tap while I'm growing in soil. Lifted the lights a bit, adjusted everything to drop back to 40 DLI. Day 44 - 3L tap water each Day 45 - Rotated the Grappa pot slightly to avoid it interfering with the 24 carat Day 46 - 3L PH'd tap water each Day 47 - Huge defoliation on the 24 carat, as it was choking itself out with a massive amount of leaves. Middle has a lot more room for airflow now and colas are more evenly spaced. This one is starting to smell sweet, almost like marshmallow. Day 48 - Damn. Finally missed taking a photo. 2L pH'd tap water. Day 49 - Week 7 comes to a close with Grappa charging towards harvest with a few really nice colas & 24 Carat evening out a ton of bud sites.

Day 50 - Week 8 and we're in the home stretch with the Grappa. 24 Carat is growing beautifully, I feel like one of these could easily fill the whole tent if I put the effort in to it. 3L pH'd water in both. Day 51 - Very little noticeable change day-to-day at this point. Day 52 - Nothing to report Day 53 - Very thirsty as I wasn't around to water yesterday. Nearly a gallon of tap water in each pot. Day 54 - Had about a 5 hour power outage today, so the plants got their first ever dark period. Aside from that, we're in the boring 'wait and see' stretch for the rest of the grow. Nothing to do but water and wait.

Day 57 - real thirsty after being away for the weekend, but otherwise both plants are steadily packing on size Day 59 - Stopped taking the daily's with the wyzecam since it's all washed out and there's no discernible change day-to-day anyway. Huge watering today, both plants took nearly 4L. Day 61 - Did a partial amendment on both plants. Just one tbsp Power Bloom in the Grappa since it's nearly finished, two in the 24 Carat since it has a little longer. 3L pH'd tap + 1/2 tsp soluble seaweed in each pot as well.

Day 64 - Grappa is officially in the harvest window. Hasn't packed on much size in the last week, but the trichome production went absolutely mental and nearly everything is cloudy. Will be keeping a close eye and chopping any day now. 24 Carat is definitely a few weeks away still - once the Grappa is out it will get the center of the tent and both lights so it should pack on bud size in the last week or three. 24 Carat dried up a little too much after being unable to water yesterday, but it mostly seems to be larger leaves affected. Buds are still firm & frosty.

Chopped on day 67. Trichomes were cloudy with the odd amber. Could have let it go another couple weeks, but I don't want couch lock out of this strain so I'm harvesting early. This plant really suffered early on from pH issues where I just couldn't make it happy, and it ended up stunted as a result. Didn't weigh wet but my guess is I'll only yield around 50-60 grams off this plant as it stayed very small the entire run.

Day 71 - 24 Carat is still plugging along nicely. Absolutely caked in frost, the plant looks pale green/white in person, absolutely stunning. Drinking a gallon of pH'd tap water every 48 hours which is nuts. I expect to chop later this week but as of today it's still putting out new pistils so it could be a while.

Day 78 - My god this plant just won't finish, and this is a perfect example why I never believe breeder date estimates. Apparently we're 2 weeks past the due date already and it looks like it could be another week or two yet. No signs of amber trichomes on the bud, though there are a decent number on the sugar leaves. At this point she's a thirsty girl, drinking a full gallon of pH'd tap water every 36 hours. For now she's getting checked every 12 hours for readiness and I'm hoping this week will be chop week.

Day 82 is the last day for this run! 24 Carat was an absolute dream to grow and looks like a pretty solid yield for such a short turnaround. Trichs look fantastic with all cloudy + 5-10% amber (depending on upper or lower buds) and I'm looking forward to the smoke. Smell is absolutely phenomenal, extremely strong and very sweet smelling with just a hint of chem/gas. This plant will have the luxury of better drying conditions than the Grappa, as this tent is now out of commission until the fall so I can use it for dry. Hoping for a good 7-10 day dry period so I hung the entire plant after defoliating what few fan leaves I had left. Trim looks like it might be quite a bit of work though as these buds are enormous but have a ton of leaf mixed in.
