I had assumed that the little guy was going to be a pygmy since it had a rough time the first week and never really grew more than small house plant after that but I awoke on Wed to see fan leaves pushing up against the camera and the whole thing filling up the barrel. I did a complete flush last week (though I didn't clean the reservoir just flushed it twice with tap water) and switched the nutrients to bloom and then a few days later caboom it exploded in growth. I had heard about the explosive growth in the flowering stage but didn't expect it. With it has come a pervasive smell, which I've tried to seal up as best I can. As the airflow is just an intake fan mid barrel I assumed that it was not 'forcing' enough air through the carbon filter up top and I was getting a lot of back flow out the fan. I covered the fan with a carbon filter 'cloth' and noticed a reduction. I've also place a plastic bag over the carbon filter on the outside and stuff a tube leading to my chimney vent hoping that any air exiting the carbon filter will be persuaded to go up the chimney. My next step is to install a fan on the intake or the carbon filter inside the barrel to help pulled some of the pushed in air through the barrel and out the carbon filter. Finally I will also install a common (non led) light inside so I get a better image from the camera. I may tuck the fan leaves under branches if I can as well.
@NamasteDave, Tru dat but I live in a small house with teenagers in a country that equates cannabis with heroin so I decided to go full stealth from the get-go. I'm hoping to get enough bud to make it all worth it, but really this first grow is a proof-of-concept and shake down run.
Cheers
