First off, this is my first time trying cuttings.
I read an article about monster cropping and decided to give it a try. The cuttings were taken roughly 3-4 weeks ago from the Glookies in my other diary. Strangely enough all of them made it and even after giving some away, I ended up with six. I decided to transplant 3 of them onto bigger cubes and will choose which one will make it into the flower tent in 2-3 weeks. The other three I will try to turn into little bonsai glookies and tack them separately.
The two plants on the very right have already been topped, as I didn't like the growth (they started to stretch weirdly), however all 3 of them should end up with 6-8 main colas if I don't top any further. I plan to scrooge the winner at around 30 cm when put into the big tent. my last one stretched around 25 cm when I flipped her so this time I should be able to even the canopy a bit better.
Stay tuned :)
@DeepWaterGrower, danke Bruder ;), I prefer smaller distances, than what the usual store bought nets have, I usually use 5 x 5 cm. With the screws and the wire it’s super quick and easy to reset after harvest.
I think she should stretch just about till the end of the screen. Hoping for literally no popcorn buds this time….. fingers crossed.
Looking good mate. Coming along nicely.
Very hard to scrog A dom indica. You do in style.
Will defo be coming back to these. Crazy how often ppl get scrogs wrong on here.
I haven't done one myself yet. But I get the idea. Make an X or mainline, tie the nodes down to the net. You get my drift.
Very nice.
@gottagrowsometime,i know what you mean regarding the method, a lot of people put the screen in and the just let the plant grow through it. I tie rarely to fix them in a position, but usually just make sure the main branches/ colas stay below the screen and only the buds will penetrate the screen and all get even light exposure. That’s why it’s important to know how much your plant will ultimately stretch once flower is initiated. So you know when to flip your plant.
@Kmikaz420,
Thanks growmie :), as I only have very little space and watts, i found this technique the best for my photos. Autos i usually just supercrop if they outgrow their space.
@Salokin, is really expensive so if you can get the little one is better, just to try. Anyway for my next crop I'll make some fix to the Sortera, next month I'll work on it and show you if and how it works
@DeepWaterGrower,i used to grow with Hesi for years, which I was pretty happy with, then tried advance nutrients, however the cost and benefit didn’t align;) since then I’m using the canna aqua line and their additives on my recirculating systems. I’m on my 3rd grow with canna and I am achieving Amazing results so far.
Need to see if I can source bloombastic where I’m at and will give it a try, especially since I’m planning on building a DWC myself.
