Had never started a grow like this before, I introduced the seedlings to a reservoir much earlier than I have previously, the roots still hadn't popped out of the peat pellets.
Ice-cream containers with holes cut for net-cups, each with one air stone, both powered by the same pump. Turned the light down while they were little.
Adding PH down to around 5.7-5.9.
Yesterday I topped the Acapulco Gold and am trying to use the cutting to clone, I did this for multiple reasons, one was to get the cutting and the other was to keep its height more in line with the Nurse Lilly. I also did some light defoliation so the nodes get more direct light. They are now in a much larger, shared reservoir with 4 air stones and a bigger pump.
28/02 Started LST to get more light directly to the tops of each branch.
They've both been humming along nicely just keeping them low and bushy as I wont be able to flip to flower to later than I first wanted to. Defoliated some of the bigger fan leaves so light can get to lower nodes.
Been continuing my LST and its going to make for some real bushy plants, I would probably like to have this as the last week of Veg but as I'm going away and leaving it in someone else's hands I'm going to delay the flip until I'm back. As it's going to have extra time in Veg I will probably defoliate heavily before I leave and do some harsh training or topping.
This week I've defoliated fairly heavily to try ang get that light on all the new nodes, got rid of small growths under main canopy. Did some 'Kushman chiropractics" (squeezing of the stems) and they are bouncing back nicely, would love to have flowered this week but I'm going away so will have to postpone until I'm back.
Final Veg week, not many pics this week as I was away on a trip but it went a bit wild whilst I was away so I've heavily defoliated and took a few clones. Tomorrow I'll flip to flower.
