Soaked seeds in water evening of 2/28, she'll cracked and was placed in soil 3/1. Seeds broke soil on 3/3!? Evening of day 3 soil was very dry 2" down so I watered 250ml (1cup) each in a circle around their dome, they didn't react as I would have hoped and I dealt with an over watering situation for most of the week, and slight nutrient lock.

Fought nutrient lockout all week, one plant is clawing pretty bad and the other one had yellow around all of the edges. I suspect over watering, in combination with I didn't ph my RO water for very first feed. It was straight RO water no nutrients and it comes out at 7.0ph from tap. The one plant has come around nicely, the other one is showing signs of N toxicity. I did a light flush on it (3/14) with 3/4 gallon of water as new growth is beginning to claw as well. I put a fan on high directly on pot to speed drying process and right by the radiant heater. It's still producing new growth at a ok pace but it's definitely stunted, I believe the plant will fight through it and use some of that excess N up. Who knows maybe I'm completely wrong! Have been running a steady 79-81° day and 74° lights out. Humidity 70-72% and 65% lights out all ran by AC infinity 69 pro controller.

I organized everything this week making life much easier. I did a flush on the stunted plant due to what I suspected of N toxicity. The leaves are still clawed a little bit, but plant has come around. It's sill a lot smaller then the other one but they both continue to produce new growth daily. I am realizing when I filled the pots I didn't fill with enough soil. The bigger plant is well below the top of the pot, but leaves are just beginning to touch the sides. I'm thinking I may try LST soon but due to lack of dirt in the pot I may decide against it. 3/19 I did end up doing LST to them, I just folded the bag down so the sides were not so high above the plant. I added recharge to the feed water on 3/17 and the plants have responded nicely! The stem on the healthier plant is very strong it's already nearly the diameter of a pencil. Although it's not growing vertically as much as I would like, the nodes are extremely close. 3/20 the leaf growth overnight from nodes after LST is impressive, I can't even see the stem anymore. I suspect I may have done it too soon though, as my plants are not stretching at all and now I just have this leafy mass. It's going to require a lot of tucking leaves and training. The smell has really increased when I entered my grow room and unzipped the tent it really hit me today. I am feeding at 25% of the feeding schedule from manufacturer, it's an autoflower feeding schedule but wasn't much different than the photo feeding schedule they have. I am considering upping to 50% and seeing how they react. Currently using RO water buffered with 20% tap water, measuring at .7ec and 400ppm and 6.3ph. 3/21 Decided to undo the LST as they are just giant round bushes 5" tall and about 10" around. I upped light to 60% and is 36" above plants. They are getting appx 330ppfd and DLI of 20 going to run this for a few days and then lower light to get DLI to appx 25. And ppfd to 450-500 range. 3/22 switched from manual watering to ac infinity water bases. Kept the smaller plat in LST, the other I set back to vertical because it was just growing too crazy. I realized today I have had this grow off by the entire time. This would be day 19, plants emerged from soil on 3/3.

What can I do to get these plants to stretch? They are going into Week 4 and only 5" tall. They have a diameter of appx 10" I feel these should be much taller at this point.

Its the genetics. Indica generally have fat leaves and stay short and squat. Sativa have thin leaves and stretch taller with more branching. Yours is an Indica leaning hybrid anyway, but it's possible it leans even more heavily that way than another seed grown alongside it - hybrids are often unpredictable. There's nothing wrong with the plant, don't worry. Lots of nodes tight together makes for large, dense buds. Plus it will stretch at 50-100% when it starts to flower. Just keep doing what you're doing! 😀

3/25 Woke up to pistils forming this morning, flowering is beginning earlier then I would like. The plant in LST is not doing much, several sites have started growing vertical. I have done a bunch of leaf tucking on the other plant and removed 4-5 lower fan leaves. Two of the lowest sites have developed nicely and I have been able to direct them up. I hopefully gave the plants their last top watering with some recharge, I transitioned them to ac infinity bases, I also added an air stone in each base. I am not sure if they will do anything, but had them laying around. 3/27 The larger plant is growing about an inch a day, the other one is just doing what it does... Did some major leaf tucking and light defoliation to the larger plant today and pulled side branches down a bit. I washed and buffered some coco today to start up the second grow in next few days undecided what to start next. 3/28 Plant is really stretching, was 5" on 3/24 and now 9" today. Still small but she's coming along. Leaf tucking and defoliation is needed daily at this point. Currently have lights 36" above canopy at 60% power, DLI is 32 and ppfd hovering just under 500. I plan to lower the light at the end of this week and increase ppfd to 550 and DLI 35-40 3/29 plants are doing good, I noticed some browning of pistils on the larger plant wasn't sure why, I ph my water and it was somehow 7.6!? I emptied the water bases and mixed up some fresh solution. Will monitor over next few days if it's acting up. I calibrated my pen but it was correct. Not sure if air stone caused it or I just royally screwed up mixing the nutrients.

3/31 Plant is still stretching, lower branches took training well. I have done very light defoliation and lots of leaf tucking. Second plant is slowly starting to flower but not stretching much. Roots are just beginning to poke through bottom and sides of the pots. Have been fighting ph issues in these ac infinity water bases but doesn't seem to affect their growth. 4/1 still fighting PH issues in these water bases, based on some things I am reading since my nutrients are mainly organic this is causing the swings. I may go back to traditional watering as they don't seem to take much anyway, or I can try blocking all light going into the base and see if that fixes it, although I suspect the temp will also play a part in this. 4/2 After dealing with ph creeping in the water reservoir I removed plant from the bases and dried them out overnight. Today I did a dunk with the fabric bag in a nutrient solution of 6.2ph and gathered all the runoff which is measuring at 6.4. I water each plants soil with 2 cups of recharge. Since I have turned on the bloom button on my light the ppfd has increased to 600 and DLI of 40. The plants seemed droopy near lights out yesterday as if they were getting too much light so I have decreased to 18hr on and will see what that does. 4/3 The larger plant took the dunk watering fine and was dry by evening, the smaller plant is very wet still and just doesn't uptake much water, prob about 1/2 of what the other plant does. I did this because the top soil was dry for several days and I didn't want the soil to become hydrophobic. I covered the holes on the water trays with black plastic to see if nutrients will remain more stable without light hitting them. 4/4 smaller plant is not taking up much water, larger plant is taking 2-3x the other. Did some slight defoliation and some pretty extensive leaf tucking. 4/5 raised my light from 12" above canopy to 26" and increased power from 60% to 80%. My ppfd readings went from 630 to 715 and DLI from 40 to 43. The larger plant went into flower at 5-6" and has grown to 19. The other plant is just screwing around and not up taking water. I pulled it off water tray and raised it 6" higher to light to match the other plant, going to dry this plant out before watering again.

4/7 week 6 day 1, it's been 35 days since sprout (went into soil 3/1 sprouted 3/3) overall plants are happy. Crystals are just beginning to form. The smaller one is finally taking up some water, but a very small amount for a plant this size, appx. 20oz every 48 hours. I oversaturated the soil with recharge in an attempt to get it going again and seems to have worked. I can tell this plant is root bound in the 3 gallon pot though. 4/8 got tired of fighting ph swings in the bases have switched back to top watering. Pulled side branches down one last time on the larger plant and they responded turning back up within a few hours. 4/10 the larger plant has some significant rust spotting. I don't believe it's fungus as the other plant is showing no signs, and it doesn't seem to rub off. I mixed up a new batch of water at 50% strength for everything except calmag at 100% hopefully this will correct the issue. 4/11 not sure if I have corrected the issue or not with the rust spotting it doesn't seem to be developing more spots but I am unsure. The plant that has been smaller this whole grow shot up in last 2 days and is now only 1" behind the other. This one went into flower a little later and it may surpass the larger plant. I measured runoff tonight and it was a 6.8 ph but the EC was reading close to 3 and the ppm was about 1500 feed water going in was .6ec and 350ppm so I suspect I have excess nutrients and needing a flush but I just water heavily with a calmag and recharge solution. 4/12 plants were 80% dry so I did another heavy watering of plain RO water pH to 6.45 runoff was still high near 1500ppm but EC went down a bit to closer to 2.

I would check your ph first. It looks like you are not giving enough potassium for flowering. Which if this is low your substrate ph will climb out of range causing lock out. The spots are calcium, and possible potassium deficiency spots mixed in.

4/15 Fighting a soil pH issue. Learned I made some crucial mistakes this entire grow that compounded week after week until a few days ago and I have complete lockout. I was feeding every watering (rookie mistake). I tested runoff and it was at 1800ppm and 3.5 EC, I have done lots of flushing and got soil to an acceptable level of 800ppm and 1.5-1.6 EC. But my soil pH is testing around 4 and will not come up. I have watered with baking soda and it up near 4.5-4.6 now but I have flushed so much over last 3 days I can't stress the plant anymore. Leaves on the bigger plant are rust spotted everywhere and dying off. I will prob lose plant disappointing since it's so far along. I will still yeild something from it but had this not happened this plant would have been great it's super stinky and sticky right now and buds are dense but would have really stacked on and produced had this not happened. Other plant is chugging along its got same soil issues but showing no signs of stress yet. 4/16 Soil pH is still super low on the sick plant and continues to decline, I watered both plants with baking soda water and was able to get the healthier plants soil to 5.8ph. In a last ditch effort to salvage the sick plant, I cut off the fabric pot and transplanted to a planter I had with double the soil capacity. There were no roots stuck to the walls of fabric pot, the base had some but overall I caused very little damage to root system. I watered again with baking soda water and it's now at 4.4ph the fresh soil I put in planter was 6.8 and immediately after watering the new soil tested down to 4. I'm hoping I can get some leaching of buildup from the old soil to the new and get it balanced quickly. I was able to get both plants soil testing around 5.8ph and out of the extreme acidity. There are some spots here and there that are testing a little lower. The healthier plant was showing the slightest spotting all over today, I watered it to about 20% runoff with calmag. Hopefully neither plant get any worse. 4/17 repotting the plant seemed to help tremendously, it really frosted up and seems to have resumed flowering. The other plant seems to be about a 7-10 days behind. 4/20 Bigger plant has really taken on a purple hue, pistils are appx 15-20% turned. Other plant seems to be 7-10 days behind, this is the plant that was over watered in the beginning and was stunted.

Buds are fattening up feel fairly dense. Second plant has now taken on same rust spots and it's accelerating rather quickly also now has low soil pH, I'm not sure what's causing this. The larger plants pH is stabilized. I purchased some salt flushing solution, I suspect I still have salt pockets in the soil and some of the soil has also become hydrophobic. Going to flush again Monday once the solution arrives and then dunk the fabric pot in hopes of getting all soil wet. 4/24 runoff was still testing high ppm, the pH was ok. I bought some FloraKleen and ran 2 gal through both pots. Ppm are still on high side but guessing I have 2-3 weeks left buds are not really forming anymore just coloring more crystals are forming though. If I can get this lockout resolved the may finish halfway decent.

4/28 Not a lot to report, plant is still on the low pH side for soil but it's making it. Although it's doing rough it has more trichomes then the more purple plant. I am guess another 10-14 days on the darker plant. The other one maybe another week after that they will be done but we will see. The smell has become very pungent and the plants are very sticky. I did recently turn light down from 80% back to 60% and lower it a bit. Plants were getting appx 50-52 DLI I dialed it back to 45 at the top of plants. All of my problems started when I kicked the bloom spectrum on and turned lights to 80%. I doubt it's the cause but I suspect it contributed/accelerated the issue. Tent is running a few degrees cooler also. Still maintaining a vpd of 1.5 lights on and 1.2-1.3 lights off. 5/2 Not a lot of change in the more purple plant, hard to be patient but I am going to give it another 7-10 days maybe more? Have some other plants going that are doing well one is appx 3 weeks old just showing signs of pre flower, and there are 2 seedlings one popped 4/20 and the other one 4/24. They are Twenty20 muchacha and a Brother Mendel Blackstrap R1

5/5 Buds are finishing up nicely, I am guessing the one plant has appx 10 days to finish and the other may have as many as 20 more days still lots of white pistils on that one. 5/9 feel so close I don't really see.many amber heads but all appear to be cloudy. I still see small white pistils forming in the buds which to me seems as if they are swelling. I will push a few more days no more then a week. Fri 5/12 would be day 1 of week 12. 5/10 These have really filled out well. The darker plant is ready to be cut but it being finished too fast, I didn't get a proper flush. I put a gallon in tonight I will tomorrow also and then another Sunday and chop Mon night but I think it should be tomorrow. I have discovered fungus gnats in my tent, they are just beginning. They seem to mainly be on the plant that's a bit behind, I sprayed ithe soil surface with a peroxide mixture. They are so close to harvest I am not going to worry about it. Other plants in my tent are in Coco so I don't think they will impact that.

Left town Fri and should have harvested then but didn't have time. The one plant is def done the other needs some time will give it 3-4 days more. 5/14 I chopped down the one plant this other one is ready, but I am going to give it one more day as lower buds are still very green. I ordered a 2x4 as a dry tent will be here Wed or Thurs and would really like to hold off until then.

I have dried, and trimmed most of the buds. I only had 2 jars at the moment. I ended up with 230g of bud, way exceeding my expectations! Overall it looks decent, it's insanely sticky. I think this will not be the most flavorful plant but some of the most resinous. There are several buds covered in guttation and it tastes just like honey. Some of the buds are a little airy for my liking. Never turned light past 60% so 230g from 460w which is .5g/watt of light but could have easily added 2 more plants to the 4x4 to achieve 1g/watt or possibly higher.
