Hi there, let me step into growing again. I am starting after almost 3 years break so I look forward so much. Any tips and comments are very appreciated 👏 Unfortunately, I received very stressed clones. so the start wasn't like I wished. Also, I am in a new place, so I need to practice a little bit with keeping the right conditions 😞 In the begging flowers create only 3 blades of leaves, so I decided to let them grow for 40 days to fully recover from stress. In the first 10 days, I was thinking about I will throw them out and looking for new ones. But it's not so easy to get clones, and I didn't want to wait until the seeds arrived, and started to grow, and because of my impatience, I gave them chance. They grow in a 90*90 box under a 250MH lamp. with relative air humidity of about 70-90% and temperatures around 17-19 at the night and 25-27°C during the day. They start in very mall pots 7*7cm ... after 12 days they were transplanted into 6,5l pots. where they are till today. I was struggling with temperatures because I had to learn how to use the kinda old heating boiler... so I took some time. 😶 After around 20 days they started to create regular 5 blades leaves so I let them grow for another 20 days. Then I move them to a bigger home -> 120*240 - however, I am not using the full potential of the growing space - it is designed for 2 lamps, but I Placed only one for this round. I would like to get more familiar with the new space and the cost of energy is pretty high 😅 ... so this round is like a trial. Light is placed right in the middle of the tent. After switching to 12/12 phase it's in 400W mode, after the first week of bloom it will receive full potential 600W. They are pretty tall, so I am thinking about using the net. So guys, what do you think? Please give me some advice. It's visible that I didn't forget all the things, but there is a lot of space to improve my grow. Many thanks in advance! - added photos are from the whole germination and vegetation phase. Right now, I am in the middle of the first week of the bloom.

Took a look through your diary. The clones are looking good, except they’ve had some potassium and magnesium deficiencies. Remove damaged fan leaves for now. Just make sure you water the plants properly with some runoff every time. Measure ppm of inflow and runoff. pH monitoring is also good to have but don’t be afraid to see drifting readings, since you go organic. Add some mycorrhizal supplement. Don’t try to push them too hard with nutes. The size of the grow tent is more than enough for them, and that’s good.

Hi mate, they look a bit stretchy/lanky but still in good shape. I think the light is prob not strong enough for the plants, or it is being placed too high above the canopy, resulting in low light levels. If you want big buds, you need sufficient light. GL and enjoy growing them!😎

@gargantuoz, 60cm on 600w is usually a good distance to use. The general rule of thumb is 10cm for every 100watt with HPS. so a 400w HPS on 40cm, a 600w HPS on 60cm. Flowering heights. If still in VEG the lights can be placed a bit higher, around 75-80cm for older and big plants, around 100cm for very young and small plants. Cheers mate, have fun!

@DutchPassion_Official, Hi ... thanks for the comment! They grew under 250MH Philips ... and now, they are placed under 600 HPS Lumatek It should have around 1000u/mols ... I do not add any CO2, ... its lighting on 400w now, will switch to full 600w very soon. aprox PPFD shall be around 800-900. Light is around 60cm from top of the highest plant. I am new in current place and I grow on attic so I was very afraid of high temps, so I placed it rather little bit more higher, to avoid burning. What is your reccomend high, please?

Great notes! Clones will be fine. Happy grow!

@gargantuoz, putting them into net is the best decision. They’re a bit lanky for LST. Net will hold them better with no stress. The fan in front of the plants is not good. Try to place it a bit higher just to mix the air and push it a bit downside. No need to make strong wind there. It can lead to wind burn. To find out how much nutes to add you need a TDS meter. Mix the nutes according to feeding chart from the manufacturer and dilute them to get about 600 ppm. Start feeding with this concentration and check runoff. If ppm in runoff goes higher than inflow you need to down the concentration. If it goes lower you need to add a bit more ppm. In general it’s very simple, but you need to keep an eye on soil moisture level. Make sure it’s not drying out too much.

@@Mr_Incognito, thanks so much 🙏 ... I just added the actual condition. What do you think about some bending or putting them into net? :)

Your question was already closed but I just wanted to offer you some empathy for your situation... You're doing well, mate! Growing in an attic is literally the hardest place in the world to grow, particularly if you're at higher latitudes... ambient temperatures will move from >40°C in the summer to <0°C in winter. I did it for seven years in the UK (>60 grows), so I know how hard it can be! As I tell everyone else, these conditions make strong growers 💪 just be prepared to battle hard sometimes to keep conditions as optimal as possible. Don't worry, your plants look fine and you're moving into the best part of the year for attic growing - spring (and autumn). As they've started flowering now and you look like you're at least a week in, I would go easy on any LST or HST as they will soon stop all veg growth and focus solely on the flowers, so they might not recover as you had hoped. I stop all bending/LST no more than 14 days after flipping 12/12. These plants don't appear to be shading the lower bud sites with lots of leaves in your pictures, so I wouldn't remove any more foliage or they will have issues trying to photosynthesize. You're using Canna Flores for bloom nutrients and I also use this range. I've not used this in combination with Biobizz - I know that you're supposed to use Biobizz Grow all the way through the grow, but I swap from Canna Vega (their equivalent) to Canna Flores when I flip to flowering. I'm not sure if this might become too much Nitrogen in the latter stages of your grow, as Canna Flores does contain some N itself, but it doesn't look like there's any issues with this so far. If you can, buy the smallest bottle available of PK13+14 from Canna and add this in week 3 or 4 of flower. You don't need anywhere near as much of this stuff as you do the Canna Flores or Biobizz Grow as you only use it once per grow, but it should give your flowers a nice boost of P & K just when they need it. Beyond that, all additives and supplements are very much optional and you're covering all the basics. If do you get any deficiency despite using what you already have, it's likely to be magnesium and you can get some "CalMag" to resolve that. RE: the air movement fan - it can't hurt to have another one of the same size on the other side, or upgrade it to a slightly larger/oscillating one. I personally think airflow is one of the most important factors in getting nice buds. I hope that helps. Good luck!
